Hey Rondo, long time not on the boards. Welcome back.
I had the same issue. Then I read a post that said all I need to do was create a separate folder. All I need to populate it with is the EA DB Editor.exe and the NCalc.dll. Et Voila! not only could the configs load but the mc02 files now opened. If I click on a tab that won't populate, I click on the refresh button above and data loads from the save.

Appreciate it my dude! You mean to save the actual game save files? I always make a new folder for each different save I try to open.

Gonna give it another shot tonight. Fingers crossed its something that simple. I really want access to team builder lol

Hey guys, I finally got the EA DB Editor working for me, I don’t know what I was doing wrong the first time but I was able to load up my dynasty file with no issues.
Like I said in my previous post, I’m trying to modify a team builder team to make it my own. My team is going to kind of parody Colorado State, so I’m using a CSU team builder team that I found as a base.
I was able to go through and change the majority of the colours, but I can’t for the life of me get the helmet to change. I went through the uniform page and made every single colour that I could see my own, but the helmet is still green and gold. I used a guide I found from a guy on YouTube for what each of the colours mean, but I couldn’t get the helmet to change.
If anyone has any specific experience using the editor to modify uniforms/helmets that would be a ton of help.

I have tried everything I can find here to fix the

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Offset and length were out of bounds for the array or count is greater than the number of elements from the index to the end of the source collection."

error and no luck. Just trying to get the schedule for the upcoming season really. Can we no longer do this? Anything new to try?

Anyone know what controls "Proximity to Home" when it comes to how interested recruits are in your school?

My team resides in CA in the prospects eyes when my school is actually on the east coast

I believe the formula for "Proximity to Home" is on the disc itself.

You can check a few table exports to see if you've been placed in the wrong state.

Export the table from Teams > Teams. Export the table from Places to Play > Cities. In the Teams>Teams first export, check your City ID (CYID) number in reference to your team. Use the CYID number to look up the CYID in the Places to Play>Cities second export.

In that second export, the CYST column might have "California" with your CYID. The CYSI column might have 4 with your CYID. If that is the case, then that is why your recruits think you are out west.

Hopefully, you'll need to update the changes and import the files, which might help fix the Proximity to Home formula for your team.

I finally got not one but two files to load, one 2019 and one 2020. Just trying to decide which season to play. But in testing I did not add Teambuilder teams in the setup but would like to.

My question goes to teambuilder teams that I still have that I created back when you could that include Georgia Southern, App State, Coastal Carolina and North Dakota State. I have an old offline dynasty with these teams in the Sun Belt. I was wondering if I swap them into the game will the Dynasty file(s) still be editable and re-loadable in the game? Or should I just go with what's there to avoid any problems. I'm not planning to play with any of them but Idaho is back to FCS, Old Dominion is still an FBS infant, UMass and NM State should go to FCS.

Once you setup your dynasty, you can't easily swap teams in future seasons.



I haven't tried it, but I at the very minimum you would have to transfer a lot of team, coach, and player information, and be able to export/import the TUNI table. And I'm sure I'm unaware of other information that would need to be changed out, which wouldn't be possible with this version of the editor.

Well editing the schedule with my custom conferences is more than I can deal with right now so as much as I would like to use this setup, I'm back to the default alignment dynasty file with the 2020 schedule.

The problem is the Sun Belt because they only have 8 teams and each one is playing 2 FCS teams and Georgia State is playing East Carolina twice! So given the daunting task of editing these teams' schedules to fix things in either editor, I was thinking about adding them as user controlled teams using the editor so I can then maybe fix their schedules within the game itself and then editing them back to CPU controlled. Anyone know if that could work?

If I continue more than 1 season I plan to set up my "fantasy" conference alignments.

If you can create a coach during the pre-season, you can have them take over those teams. After you have finished making your schedule edits, you can set the new coaches from User to CPU.

Alter the already existing game. Change a stadium to whatever you want thats already in the game. Edit teambuilder teams despite the website being dead and gone. Edit anything you want player wise including redshirt control. Add any coaching badges you want at any time to any coach you want. The list goes on and on and on. Those are just some of the things I've done.

What do you want to do- is probably the more appropriate question.

I haven't personally dove into editing recruiting so I may be wrong but I'd be surprised if you could take away scholarships. You might be able to override a team and give out scholarships to players that aren't interested to maybe work around it though..

You can't add features like suspensions but im sure you could find a way to replicate it by removing players from a depth chart. If its a cpu team I could see the edit being undone when advancing the week. Haven't tested it but just thinking out loud. Might be worth a try.

Bowl alignments? You mean like how you can edit tie ins in the game already? You can edit all the stadiums/bowl games though with the editor.
