No, which is why I don't get behind something that has been said before. To not have one or both of those game on there is a mistake.

He only included games that he had played in the year, so if he did not play them they were not up for consideration.

I don't know if Madden is among the worst or not, I've never touched it on next gen. Angry Joe's complaints about the game look valid. He clearly shows sideline interaction that is no where close to what we got from a 2007 current gen game. The real time injuries is fair too, I still remember when madden tried it and we got the infamous greg Jennings 90 yrd td with a broken leg vid.

Worthy of a worst game? Idk

I dont care anybody say but was the best review of madden....Yes,this the most I have played madden on next gen but do you have any other choices, no.....his review has very, very valid......in reality, we want to play football so bad, that EA has slowly altered our standards......Now, once again, I say lets see how next year will be...NO excuses about disc space, the technology, etc....If this next madden is bad, you know what, Im not going to think like that!!!...Im just mad we wont see ncaa on next gen cause I think that dev team was actually talented

Insane at that. How do you expect anything to change if no one voices their opinion?

The fact that a 2007 current-gen game still out classes Madden in any way shape or form is APPALLING! The fact any users here dismisses his criticisms is absolutely absurd.

Why people dismiss, complain, then defend is beyond me.

But I'd argue that a lot of Maddens shortcomings are far from minute?

The lack of gap control has to be the biggest problem with the entire game besides the stale passing game that they refuse to reinvent.

I wouldn't disagree, but I don't believe most customers care. Not that people wouldn't use and become accustomed to whatever changes can be made, but these issues are not at the top of many wishlists.

Well if that's the case, then you can't say it's pathetic if someone opposes this video either, you're helping to create that one-way street you're speaking of by doing that. I don't think anyone is trying to make excuses for Madden, but that doesn't mean people aren't thoroughly enjoying the game either. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I don't totally disagree but the numbers get skewed because madden was a ps4/one launch title like most of the games on that list. According to vgchartz madden on Xbox360 shows up at 24th when you break it down by console

It's why I think it's relevant that Angry Joe posted this on his site. He likely has a lot of the more casual sports game fans (or at least more casual than those that frequent sites like this one). So for someone like him to really be breaking down and pointing out the ways in which Madden fails to deliver could be a good thing. Even if it simply makes some more people think about the fact that even though the game is OK, it could be a lot better if EA was doing a better job with it.

So, it may be a beaten horse around these parts, but not in the casual market. If they can start to be swayed a bit and maybe think twice about buying another installment of the same ol' thing from EA next year, it could start to make a difference to Madden's financial bottom line. It's likely the only hope we have to see some real improvements.

No doubt. Didn't want to come across like I was saying it was still doing PS2 level sales, just that it's still selling enough to be the third-best of the year.

Edit: I do understand what you were getting at with the next-gen sales contributing, but I didn't want to further that topic as: 1) I don't know the breakdown of sales per gen and didn't want to comment more specifically on that without them, 2) Didn't want to totally derail the thread.
