Re: CPU vs. CPU in offline franchise mode? (Madden NFL 15)
The last two Maddens didn't allow CPU vs. CPU in its franchise/CFM mode. Perhaps this year will be the year it makes a return.
It's understandable that games are meant to be played, but this is a feature that many love to utilize for their franchise universe. People like me want to make teams and watch it all play out; we want to be the architect, not the guy with the jackhammer. We want to see what happens in a theoretical universe. I want to, in the purest sense, simulate. It was so much fun to set up my franchises and watch the teams and players thrive and struggle. The CPU vs. CPU would put on great shows, playing out in many different ways. Shut outs, down to the wire, huge come from behinds, etc.
I'd like to see this return and figured I'd make this thread to confirm if it's in or out either way. Also, to report any news on workarounds. Last year, there was a way to do CPU vs. CPU in CFM, but it was tedious to do and didn't have control of the roster. I did it though. Others might want to as well.
Send us a link to watch CFM Cpu vs Cpu... You are getting Madden right?Comment

Exactly... this feature has been in sports games for a decade almost....I know that getting people hyper-reactive (on-line CFM/MUT) means that they want to target those hyper-tournament style online CFM type of masses... lol smhComment

Re: CPU vs. CPU in offline franchise mode? (Madden NFL 15)
I'm 54 years old and don't want to be bothered with controlling the gameplay. Madden 12 had the CPU vs CPU mode, in offline franchise. I controlled all 32 teams, and watched every game. I changed sliders and did management items like depth charts, trades and free agency. Not everyone likes to "play" the game, and I'm finding that there are many folks who utilize this game the same way that I do. Who wants to just play their team and let the computer just sim the other games? And what about the post season? They took it out after Madden 12, and it makes absolutely no sense because you could watch a pre-season, offline franchise mode game, in broadcast view, CPU vs CPU, in Madden 13, so obviously it is doable! I read that Madden 25 didn't have offine CPU vs CPU either, so I am hoping that they put it back in on Madden 15. They can obviously do this, as they had it in preseason games, so there is no excuse for them not to incorporate it in the upcoming version. But......if they don't, I'll stick with Madden 12. If there was COMPETITION, we wouldn't even be having this conversation, but that is an entire different subject which, I'm sure, has alot of NFL fans pissed off. No competition means no reason to improve!! So to EA Sports, if you want to maximize your profits, put this mode back in place. Without it, this man ain't shelling out $60! I'd like the latest and greatest rosters, but I can live with Madden 12. You need to satisfy ALL of your customers, not try to steer us towards online play. It's just a good business move and you would be foolish to not incorporate something that is already in the code, but not being activated beyond preseason!!

Re: CPU vs. CPU in offline franchise mode? (Madden NFL 15)
Well, I thought someone said the workaround was in again to get CPU vs CPU !!!so I got the game, followed the protocol , I think : Picked offline 32 teams in PLAYER mode, selecting the third string QBS, then advancing through pre-season and to week 1 - game 1 ( packers vs Seahawks ) ..... selected Tolzien as my player, went to the controller screen ( does not allow you to go in middle or select spectator mode ) picked Green bay, the game then DID NOT GO TO cpu vs CPU
it went to super sim only.....and let you hit either "next play" or sim to your player turn ( which means it went to where tolzien was holding for a PAT or FG and made me kick a FG or PAT then back to SUPER SIM SCREEN ) .... NO CPU VS CPU !!!! UGHHHH!!!!!!!! Am I doing something wrong or missing something !!!??? EA GOT MY MULA !!!! now I'm screwed I believe...UNLESS SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT I DID WRONG in the process ???? is there any setting I missed maybe from player select to player select ??? do tell or share your experiences today , PLEASE. DAM !!!
