This is disappointing. I haven't purchased Madden since Madden 12 and I was hoping that this year CPU vs CPU would be included in this years madden so that I could end that dry spell. That wont be happening unless CPU vs CPU is added in a later patch.

Looks like I wont be purchasing a football game this year.

Oh well, NBA 2k14 will hold me over.

My best advice is to use the EA Sports Madden forum, Twitter Josh Looman, and respectfully tell them you want that feature back in the game. It didn't work last year, but any way to raise awareness and to tell them you don't want the game unless the feature is in is the only way I know how to persuade them. If sales go down and this gripe is brought forth, maybe they'll connect the dots and will do something about it. It's obvious we like Madden and we want to buy it, but sometimes, a crucial element taken out can ruin it for us. It's like going on a date with a hot babe, only to find out that she has rancid breath. Weird analogy, but you get the picture. One thing can ruin our Madden experience.

They need to know we want CPU vs. CPU back in the franchise version of the game. It never should have been taken out of Franchise/CFM to begin with.

Amen brother! Everybody isn't into hiring and firing coaches or setting concession prices. I like to be the architect and watch things play out as well as play my games. I hate that if you enable the CPU it will not mirror the current NFL. I don't want them signing guys who have retired or making nonsensical trades. I miss the days of just having a simple season. I know I am in the minority but I have no desire to play 10 years worth of franchises. I just want to play with a team and then switch teams when that season is over and be able to watch the games that I don't play.

Dealing in trades, setting up the depth chart, signing and releasing players, and watching most, if not all, the games happen. I do this for one full season and do it week by week along side the real NFL schedule. That's how I like to play.

My hope is that I can find some workaround for CPU vs. CPU in CFM. Like picking punters or third string QBs and turning off auto-start. Turn off injuries too. We'll see. If auto-pass works for 32 team control in CFM, that would be awesome as well.

But is this for Franchise mode though? You could do CPU Vs CPU in Exhibition Mode last year but not for a Franchise. (Havn't watched the video yet)

Almost 99% sure that's play now, why? Because EA told us CPU VS CPU guys to kick rocks a couple of months ago on this be included in owner mode.

Could they have had a change of heart since then? I guess, but not likely, that's why I left the 1% for those that will have the game soon and give us the info:wink:

Glad you're keeping this thread alive. My pet peeve is when a series I enjoy introduces new features that eliminate old ones. We need CPU vs CPU back in franchise.

I think EA puts it in for PLAY NOW because some stores use that as a demo to play on their screens at their stores. And the places selling it are more important than us, the customers I guess, LOL! Once the store has paid for them, that's money in EA's pocket, correct? Maybe? So they cater to their demands, not ours....
