Honestly with guys being willingly to still purchase to use the work around, I highly doubt they'll see a need to add it in ever.

I don't see CPU vs. CPU as a feature. It's a way of playing the game, ironically enough (partially zero-player gaming when you're setting up your team and strategy and then choosing to watch the action unfold rather than play yourself).

It's absolutely mind-blowing that EA would purposely tell people like us to "kick rocks" because we aren't important enough.

NEWSFLASH EA, we aren't required to buy your new game every year. I can have just as much fun with Madden 11 or ESPN 2K5, because they actually have CPU vs. CPU. It's cool, I don't have to buy your fancy, new, next-gen game if you're going to deliberately insult our way of playing your game.

We shouldn't have to apply a workaround to play how we want when it is implemented just fine in play now. What is the deal?

I'm betting it's like when Madden 06 came out on previous gens. They took it out and put it back in on 09. They are simply notorious for this tactic ... they know what they are doing. Like I said for me. If it is not in next year again, I will be happy with the workaround in 15 and not buy 16, no way! As said before, I would have kept 25 if I knew there was a workaround before I sold it on Ebay. Now I will just edit my players and do the workaround if NO GO in 16...LOL!

It would have been nice to have owner/coach mode play like Madden but when it came to game day, play like the old NFL Head Coach game. That would have been perfect.

So if I'm reading your comments correctly. Offline Franchise mode lets you watch your team Cpu vs Cpu but you don't get to do trades and sign free agents. What if I only want to watch my New York Giant games and not control the entire league. Can you do all the franchise stuff then?

But I'm guessing if I only choose 1 user team (NY Giants) then the two controller work around won't work. Why is everyone so happy about this? I'm doing that bull**** in NBA 2K14 right now. Sure I can watch a season without having to play but no trades is horrible.

Re: CPU vs. CPU in offline franchise mode? (Madden NFL 15)

As a long time CPU vs CPU player, I have been frustrated with EA's seemingly unnecessary changes to the Madden series. With that said, I'd like to point out that the CPU vs. CPU gameplay in this version (with the workaround) is very realistic. The teams play true to their schemes and the broadcast cam offers great presentation. I have seen Aaron Rodgers rush for TDs in the redzone and teams with scrambling QBs run the option.

You can watch only your favorite team's season by just simming all the other games (not involving your favorite team). The Cpu still controls all the managing aspects of every team with the workaround. Yes, it is still very frustrating not being able to manage the team but if all you are looking for (as a CPU vs. CPU player) is a great presentation and realistic gameplay, than this version shouldn't disappoint.

I'd like to point out that I am not necessarily advocating the game, as I'd still like to see Madden return to it's full Cpu vs. Cpu offline franchise mode but in terms of experiencing a realistic football game, this version is better than most. Just make sure your QBs are low enough so that they never see the field otherwise you will be stuck kicking field goals (create a lowby QB for every team if you have to- that's what I did).

I just went to the depth charts and wrote down the third stringer ( because when doing player mode the third guy down on the roster is not always the true third guy ), than edited each of their passing abilities to 25....that seems to work.

Question out of the blue : kind of mentioned before, but wouldn't hurt to ask again could you not select the GM mode or whatever it is, and do the 2 controller thing for games too ( i never tried this ) ? than you could maybe do trades, etc for all 32 teams? just wondering....

The workaround is at least there, people need to take what they can get for now.....not saying it's right that EA took it out, but at least it's there kind of....and that's kinda cool. I am enjoying it actually.

When you select GMs or Coaches, the game automatically forces you to control the team. When you go to start the game, the controllers are locked on your respective teams. So no, I don't believe using 32 coaches or GMs would ever work in the same way that using 32 low players does. The only reason the 32 players workaround works in the first place is that we are using bench players so we can still view the starters play.

The only reason I created 32 low qbs is that I wanted them all to be 20 year old rookies who won't retire for 15 years. Also I didn't want to affect the cpu player progression/development. As noted before, I too have been impressed with the way the games play out with the workaround this year.

So technically if I only want to watch my (Giants). I should only have to create one 3rd string QB and place him on the Giants right? Save me the trouble of creating the other 31.

No, I'm sorry you still have to have a low player on all 31 other teams. Creating them isn't too bad though. When you go to create player, it is already set on a 20 year old, Overall 53 QB so all you have to do is assign the team and then save your roster when you finish all 32. Then when you start your franchise, make sure you select import custom roster and then assign 32 players to control your 32 low QBs on each team. The reason it doesn't work with just 1 is you need 1 player on each team of the game you want to watch. Then you need to assign a controller to each team (so you need 2 controllers). If both players are low QBs who are lower than 2nd string on the depth chart, then the game will play out CPU vs. CPU. Make sure to turn injuries off if you want it to stay that way,

Yep. Why make the change if folks are still buying?

Contrast EA's ( and by proxy the NFL's) behavior to the behavior of the NBA 2K devs who responded to user requests for franchise customization and no-VC by creating an entire mode built around that style of play (http://www.operationsports.com/featu...gue-interview/). THAT is how you treat your user base. THAT is why I will be purchasing NBA 2k15.

No CPU vs. CPU is a deal breaker. No Madden 15 for me. Screw the workarounds.

Yeah, ok mojo, I hear ya..but I think the workaround actually works well, but you have to be patient for like, say, 30 minutes to set up the franchise.

once there it's really cool with the great new graphics and presentation !!!

i still can't get broadcast cam though, how ????

-Go out to settings. I don't have the interface in front of me but I believe it is under the league tab when you are in your franchise menu.
                                -Then go to visual setting.
-Change the camera to whichever view you prefer.

Broadcast is awesome for Cpu vs. Cpu games.
