Some of them are highly unrealistic like Peyton only throwing 13 Tds but some of this stuff actually happens in the real NFL.
During the sim, is it possible that Peyton was injured and sat out a few games?

I think the only thing that says 'no' is that he (and others) threw for over 4000 yards as well.

It is a new feature, and we know how first-year features can be rough around the edges for EA....it's certainly a possibility. Even Sky's TD's were low, but nothing compared to the sim in the OP.

If you're around Sky, did you sim week to week for your 2 sims?

The game doesn't have to crash for a feature to be broken. Heck, if a RB runs in the wrong direction after a hand off, the game doesn't crash, but many would consider the game unplayable for them.

For those playing in a single person offline franchise, poor simmed stats make the game unplayable for them. I would consider that "Broken".

AP having 1800 yards and only 12 TD's that happened in real life. QB's having less than 4000 yards and 65% that has happened in real life, Phillip Rivers in 2012. Some stats are completely off but not all of them are and that's the point I am making.
So what's your purpose in this thread? To say that highly unlikely statistical anomalies happen in the NFL if you look long and hard enough to find them? OK. But we are talking statistical frequency here. Your trying to compare NFL statistical infrequency to somebody's one time simmed stats. The highly probable/potential frequency happening in Madden of the NFL anomalies look very concerning.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Video - Simulated Season Stats

A decade ago, we had a group of dedicated folks for PC coach mode that would test sliders till Thanksgiving sometimes in CPU vs CPU games until we were as close to the NFL stats with the sliders as possible.

Why? Because the sim stat engine wasn't anything near as close to NFL stats at the time. Nothing has changed in a decade.

We would take season games and sim them week to week tweaking the sliders as we would go along, even punt and KO avgs. At that time, it was a chore to bring passing %'s close to the NFL stats.

Until they revamp or overhaul the stat engine, what you see now is what we will get.

Glad to see they FINALLY got the standings fixed - ties are calculated properly into winning percentage! Thank you EA for listening!

Re: Madden NFL 15 Video - Simulated Season Stats

The Seahawks going 8-8 is totally realistic. Lots of championship teams have a 'hangover' season the next year where they don't make the playoffs. Just look at the Ravens last year or the Redsox in baseball this year. I have a lot more difficulty with the Vikings winning the superbowl though or with Peyton throwing 13 tds. Those two things concern me.

On another note, they still didnt change the standings column where it shows your winning/losing streak. Its still a + or - where older maddens had a W or L. Its a minor thing but its still makes the whole screen look unpolished.

Question about the simulation. Were the Vikings still in TCF Bank Stadium in year 3?

People have mentioned that sliders do not affect sim stats, which appears to be true of the gameplay sliders - but in NCAA I was able to get MUCH better sim stats by playing with the coach sliders. I wonder if editing the coaches' aggressiveness value would have an impact on madden sim stats as well.

So I guess my hope that they would finally discover tight ends are the focal points of many offenses is out the window... Madden sim stats are straight from the 80's

yeah even jimmy graham will never even get close to 1,000 yards. i bet QB rushing stats aren't fixed either. i was hoping he would show defensive TDs since there were like 60 total every season last year. i wonder if they fixed that. i don't know how it's 2014 and they still can't even get sim stats right. two 4,000 yard passers? for real? they probably don't even care about sim stats because they aren't a big deal in online franchise.

I read somewhere that someone claimed the 2nd and 3rd season of simmed stats were better for QB's but I cant find the post. Anybody able to confirm this( at least that it was claimed) even if you havent tried yourself. I am holding out hope that this can be fixed or worked around somehow.

Sigh the one yeah I thought it would be different how things remain the same wish I didn't pre order but oh well.

Just can't believe this has been a problem for so long do they do one year of siming when testing and say that's fine. I find it hard to believe that Peyton Manning this year with basically the same cast bar Decker is gonna throw for less than 30 Tds but 13 that is laughable to be honest.

The one work around I have used for many years is the supersim feature I've got great stats using it bit tedious but it gets the job done. Was able to cut down on the defensive Tds for a season dramatically when I did my year looks like have to do it all over again.

Shame really shouldn't really be doing this kinda of thing year and year out it is what it is but the issue should be resolved years ago. I would encourage people to post that video to Loomans twitter account and hopefully they can patch something in for release day if enough people get the word out.
