    I think there is a better way to represent this as a superstar will regress (or should regress) slower than someone who is slow.

    (30-35)*(1/1) = -5

    This shows Charles will have a slower fall off than Davis, instead of them having the same fall off over 30. Obviously not a final weight, but you could change it to (2/dev multiplier) and then Charles would be -2 at 35, and Davis would be -10 at 35.

      This would work as well. Just depends if we want to have a calculation for regression or just have the progression stop and assume it will go down. If using this option we'd need a spot to put our number that we want to divide the dev multiplier. I'm good either way.

      Loving the back and forth to. I've always loved numbers and this stuff really intrigues me. I did a big excel project on Ncaa last year that was awesome. Really enjoyed it. Been wanting to do something for Madden for awhile but I couldn't come up with what I wanted to accomplish and couldn't find the time (wife, 4 kids, full time job, blah lol). Being able to contribute ideas here has been fun and it's looking like this tool is gonna turn out really good. Can't say it enough JRT2006 but once again thanks man. Much appreciated.

        Playing around with some of the formulas. Added Awr in as an average instead of just the whole number to see how it looked. One thing I noticed is if we do that there is no weight applied on it. We all know it is important for the players but don't value it a ton when scouting, etc because we can raise it so easily. But in my opinion it should be a heavily weighted attribute in the long run. Need a way to add a weight to it. Since you already have the attribute listed we can just plug that number in and make sure it's factored into the Actual Talent Value formula. The tabs that need Awr added to the Skill Weight Table are HB and LT. I actually already did it to test and it looks pretty good.

            Wow. Looks like there is a huge difference between Madden's default overall ratings and the Excel Tool. I think that is a good thing because it can help us separate the players we want based on our own criteria.4

              Just noticed a couple values int he draft board (final) version. Should the A be 85-99? I don't think 100 is possible outside of EA actually giving to a player. If so, A value would be 92. Also, F value average should be 42.5, unless you meant for it to be 57.5.

              No biggie really, just thought I would mention it.

                This is what's so cool about this. Madden is trying to do it with the schemes but it's just not where it needs to be. We all value attributes differently and with this tool we will be able to really fine tune our teams to what we want.

                Good stuff Rollo. Obviously you like a QB who can move around but it was cool to see Manning was still #10.

                  I do like a QB who moves, but Speed, Agi, Acc are 3/2/2 in my weights. My 5's are all Deep Accuracy, Throw on the Run and Play Action. I run a lot of west coast style offenses, but want the deep ball available. It just happens that those with high Throw on Run and Play Action typically are the more mobile quarterbacks. My current project QB is only a mid 70's in speed and I'm good with it.

                      I am not using your spreadsheet, I'm more of an old school pen and pad on paper guy when it comes to keeping tracks of my draft class and their stats of the players I've scouted, and then coming up with back-up picks in case they go before I expect them to, but I just wanted to say good job on the work you've done. You will provide people interested in this way of scouting a good great way to drafting. Good job.

                          I have to be honest I found it to be very labour intensive with all the typing and filling in the spreadsheet as I have a desktop and it was very awkward filling it out.

                          But holy smokes the results were awesome!! I found some gems in the late rounds as well as signing some udfa's that were left from my big board that were better than my current roster players!! awesome job JRT!!!!

                              Quick question to everyone. We haven't touched upon the Consistency attribute at all, but it directly correlates to experience building up quicker in game prep and actual play time. Do you guys think we should be considering this attribute in potential calculations?

                                That's a good point that I completely over looked. I would have to say that we almost have to factor it in for potential. Maybe even actual. Good catch.
