    This is a bummer.

Wish I had your skills with excel and access, and I wish I had the time outside of work to figure it all out to make something for M16.

If I do end up buying M16 this week, I'll have to modify my scouting tool to compensate for the fact that we're only given 3 graded attributes. I guess I could figure out a way to plug in the physical attributes and correlate them to a rating or a grade. That way we would still have 6 or so attributes to grade out on a tool.

So many ideas, buts little time.

JRT, PM me whenever you return to the project. I'd like to be involved again if I can.

So I've been working on a roster tool since JRT had been down for awhile. It's not nearly as seemless as his and also I haven't accounted for the dev trait in the equation but I think it has a lot of the same concepts. One thing I did was create a formula where it makes a Ovr between 40 and 99. With 40 being just terrible and 99 being basically a super human and all positions can be compared equally now. Haven't dived into scouting yet but I plan to. When I finish what I have (few days probably) I'll post it to get some feedback.

I'll help in anyway possible, this tool was amazing last year and I think we can make it work despite the neutered scouting.

I had a very basic access roster tool and used the excel roster tool but stopped using it cause it was to time consuming at the start of another season. Having to update all your players, delete who's not there and add FA's and rookies. I wish Madden would make a way to export your roster. Also I have gamefly and rent all the games coming out and glad I did with M16. I was not impressed enough to buy the game and start all over again. I stayed with M15. I am looking forward to this tool JRT2006 is putting together in access, also buddy hit me up if you need any help.

So I've finished (for now) my roster/depth chart tool. Basically what it allows you to do is plug in your roster (by position), along with all important attributes(by position), and be able to add your own weighted value(percentage) on each attribute. Essentially what Madden does with player schemes but tailored specifically to what you value in each position. Much more detailed (also time consuming but I enjoy it and am sure some of you do to). I put a quick how to on the "QB Tab". All sheets are protected (to not mess up formulas) however there is no password required to unprotect for those who would like to edit or adjust things to their liking. Ignore the first 3 tabs of the workbook as it was created for other stuff (32 team control set in Armor & Swords slider thread). Let me know if you guys like it. I may start my own thread soon but I just wanted to get it out.

Hey thanks buddy, I will plug in my roster and let you know. I looked over it and so far I really like what you did.

Got around to creating my own thread for this finally. Just a fyi.

Does anyone have the password to JRT's workbooks? I have found a few issues that I wanted to fix on my own but it looks like they are locked down.

One example is if I put the exact same ROLB in the first two consecutive rows on the ROLB sheet their actual and future scores are equal but the Raw is not. Looks like rows 2+ are missing some calcs.

                  Thanks

Looking further while watching games today:
LOLB and ROLB - Do not factor in Man and Zone coverage attributes into Raw scoring for rows 2+

I think one of them may be something else but searching this thread for password will get you the other one. That has worked for all of my position-based tabs though.

Thanks for pointing out that issue. I'll have to look into mine. Geez, I hope it's not too big of a fix. I'm working on creating a roster tool sheet for all 32 teams and I already have more than half of them done.

EDIT: Has anyone tried using a wider scale? For example, use a 1-10 scale or something? As I was entering data this weekend, I got thinking about it and wondering what's happening to all the other unweighted ratings that don't get entered. Maybe I'd go back and add them in with a weighting of 1 or something.
