Is this broken? I'm trying to download from the first post and it downloads but will not open on my Mac. It says, "Excel cannot open this file. The file might have been damaged or modified from it's original format."

Is there a fix that i missed?

This is pure awesomeness. I'm going to have fun with this, this week. My leagues draft is next Sunday so it's perfect timing. Great job.

It's not letting me do that for some reason. At the bottom is shows MLB but, at the top it says ROLB and I can't change it

This is off the top of my head so bare with me. I think it's not working because he has quite a bit of the spreadsheet protected. U have to unprotect it. I believe he put the password up on the 1st post. Once done u can then edit to your liking.

Found the password. It's either 1334 or 133499.

Still can't get it to work in open office and I don't want to pay $ for a program. What do you guys run this in?

Great work JRT and the others who helped

                The Tools look great.

Just using the Roster Evaluation tool so far as just started a CFM

It's nice to be able to collect the date we want of the players and get it all together in one place and to have a workable value that then can be used to rank players.

Made a few changes such as group positions such as Guards and LBs and make them weighted more to a general guideline for that position. Added a FB section using a OL position as the base.

Weighted most positions more towards Physical attributes and tried to counter attributes that are one vs the other such as Trucking and Elusiveness by weighting them the same (Both are Weighted 3 for my RBs)
Doing the weighting this way does keep a balance and the rating it produces seem fine that I could work off them but may adjust it to make it more precise which I think the default were doing by not weighting the physical side so much.

Looking forward to using the scouting tool.

The Evaluate Roster button isn't working for me in Office 365. I have macros enabled but nothing happens when I push the button. It clicks but doesn't calculate anything. Any suggestions?

When we pick our wieghted numbers for our current roster are we supposed to have even numbers like with scouting? Like if we have 12 total ratings, 4 of them be 5, 4 be 3, and 4 be 2? Or can we have as many 5's or whatever as we want?

                      I keep it simple and consistent with the position. So if I do QBs I do 3 5s 3 3s and 3 2s but for another position I may have 4 5s 4 3s 4 2s.

Seems fine for me but don't know if that is the set rule.

Yes keep it even so all positions stay in the same ovr range.

Keeping the ratio the same is how it's supposed to work.

Easiest is 1 of each, for a minimum of 3 weighted stats. This then lets you do 2 of each, or 3 of each, depending on how many weighted stats you want for a different position.

You could do two 5's, one 3, and one 2, as minimum for one position, then do four 5's, two 3's, and two 2's for another. They will give the same weight.

You could do all of one value (as long as every position uses the same value), or all but one value (completely ignoring 5, 3, or 2).

As long as whatever you pick stays consistent.

I personally use the 1 of each method. My QB uses 9 weights, OL uses 6, secondary uses 12 I think. It got tricky when I wanted to weigh my kicker and punter against the rest of my team. I only weigh 2 stats for them (which you can't do with the 1 of each), so I ended up weighing each stat 3 times. Kick accuracy and power are 5, 3, and 2.

Thanks for spreadsheet. Completed my first draft with it and had 3 of 8 rated 80+ overall...2 of those 3 had the highest development trait and the third had above average development.

Looking forward to future drafts now!!

Now I'll try the roster spreadsheet...looks very intriguing.

First off I love the sheet you made, thank you for your hard work. I have run across a problem when I try to evaluate. I get a run time error 438 "object doesn't support this property or method." when I click on the debug it stops on this line.

                                ActiveWorkbook.Worksheets(CStr(wstConsTab.Name)).S ort.SortFields.Clear

Can you tell me what I did wrong?

                                Thank you

Also I'm using an older version of excel, excel 2002
