Re: offline CFM users only, post your sack numbers
This is what is killing madden for me, I've tried everything....I wouldn't care about the numbers really...having 4-6 defenseman with double digit sacks fine whatever, but the result is the AI fails to keep drives going making it so no matter who I play with I know I'll win....going 13-3 with buffalo, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Tampa.......it doesn't matter and I was hoping soooo much that this patch would fix it. For the first time ever I'm considering trading this in towards something else which really sucks bc other than this issue I LOVE this version of madden on my ps4....I've just decide to keep running fantasy cfms bc that way it feels real bc it's fantasy and anything can happen but it bothers the heck out of me....every season I've played I've been the leader in team sacks by 30+ it's ridiculousOnly the truest Buffalonians know what it is to stick with your hometown teams. Eventually we will be rewarded with a Super Bowl or Stanley Cup Championship. The ONE thing I want to see most before i leave this world. What a day that would be.Comment

Re: offline CFM users only, post your sack numbers
I don't want to be biased by asking only those experiencing the problem to post sack totals.
Ideally I want everyone that plays against the AI to post numbers that way if any lurking Madden developers see this thread they can get an idea of what we are dealing with.
And if the sack problem is not widespread that would suggest there is something some of us are doing on our end to cause it.Comment

Either way, I don't find myself getting to the QB that easily.Comment

Re: offline CFM users only, post your sack numbers
I've been running an online CFM by myself. I track all stats in excel. After 14 weeks my human team averages 4 sacks a game and the CPU averages 2 sacks a game. I use my own slider set that can be found in the slider section.
I do not physically play defense, I allow the CPU to do it. I have found over the years that manipulate one of the 11 man defense messes up the AI of the other 10 players. I have always recommended others do the same.
Bottom line, I'm not seeing what others are claiming. I don't know if it's my slider set or my style of play, but I must be doing something right.Comment

Seems a little much to me.Last edited by kehlis; 10-07-2014, 10:30 PM.Comment

Maybe it's "a little much," but it doesn't seem game-breaking.Comment

Re: offline CFM users only, post your sack numbers
I haven't played the game with the patch yet but form the sound of things it didn't improve QB not taking sacks and with the amont I was getting before the patch in a 16 game season I would be getting like 128-136 sacks a season with a team that is like double or even 2.5 times more then I should get.Comment

Re: offline CFM users only, post your sack numbers
If HUM teams are generating 64 sacks a season with an average defence then that's not good. In fact for me its a game breaker.
Which team is JayneeAwesome playing with?
FWIW I'm playing as the Broncos in single game testing and I'm getting about 7 sacks a game. DeMarcusWare and Von Miller are almost unstoppable. I'm at the point where I'm taking one of them over each down to STOP them rushing effectively the QB. Its ridiuclous that I am having to do this.
If this was to translate into a season then you are looking at over 100 sacks a season. The Bronco D in Madden is good but not that good...
I'll keep on playing with sliders, camera angles and anything else that the OS Community suggest might save this game.
Just as a reminder the average NFL team gets 2.5 sacks a game - 40 a season if anyone is looking for a benchmark. What would Blackie Lawless do?Comment

Re: offline CFM users only, post your sack numbers
My Bucs team through 15 games in the first season of my offline CFM has about 30 sacks more than ANY other team, with Gerald McCoy leading the league with 36 sacks. He had 14 sacks in the first 3 games, all of them coming with ZERO user control from me.
the slider I use have almost every other stat in the game working perfectly apart from this.
To me, it looks like it's all down to the CPU AI. On screens, they only drop back so far, then stand there to take the sack. If pressure comes from one side, they don't step up into the pocket or try escape, they just do the animation where they shrug off the defender, or get sacked.Comment
