    Great point!

Urlacher - can you lower QBA to the 20's and test again?

with peyton manning, some of the deep passes were off target, mostly because of pressure, but i didn't count those, because im testing aggressive catching. Meaning if the pass was way off target the aggressive catch icon wouldn't pop up.

When these off target scenarios occured what would the WR/DB do? Would they still go through a normal animation sequence as if it was on target or just run the route as if the ball hadn't even been thrown their way?

they would try to follow the ball even when the ball was heading out of bounds.

Not sure if I would say I am worried about them being overpowered I just dont want to see 5+ attempts every single game going for a spectacular catch. Think about it.. How often in a single real game do we even see an attempt at a crazy catch? I watched many games this past year and often times I didnt see a single attempt by either team all game. Even at the goal line passes are completed mostly without a leap or a dive etc. Now in video game form we will get to see numerous attempts every game in all areas of the field.

            Just annoying I guess.

question for ya, when the icon pops up is the user able to press another catch button? so it says aggressive but can you actually press X (RAC) ? or are you stuck with whatever they give you for the icon/button?

I don't know if it's overpowered. I don't understand the need for different catch types. Why would you aggressive catch a crossing route over the middle where mlbs and safeties would kill a wr high pointing the pass? Why would you possession catch a deep pass? Why would you hit RAC on a curl route?

I haven't seen a feature scream gimmick this much since the old spice swagger rating.

Of course, I'll buy it - but this is exactly what is wrong with Madden (and has been for years.) At least FIFA and NHL are right around the corner.

Yeah, it'll most likely have to be tuned, but even if it is kind of OP, I don't even know if they'll do that being that they are using these types plays as the selling point. But it's already bought for me. I've been waiting for the WR/DB interactions to be like this for years.

We'll have to see mostly for ourselves in a few days to tell for sure. Also to see how it is online against another user. I think that'll be pretty fair compared to the CPU.

No offense to the guy posting what he's doing in practice, but some things come into play like is he user catching or letting the CPU do it? Also some type of skills come into play if he's usering. Some people aren't that good at user catching, so it may seem like the DBs are defending it better. Maybe he could stream it so we can get a live look? But from what I seen yesterday, the guy was somewhat good at it and had a high success rate on All-Madden or maybe he just was lucky that day lol. We'll all see. Can't wait to try it out on EA Access.

What camp are you in? Last night you were all this OP and needs to be tuned. Now it seems like you jumped ship and are wait and see and tune some stuff in the sliders. And you brought the same thoughts I had last night about the video you posted.

Umm? Where have I wavered lol? My position has been the same because the masses do not have the game nor do I to form my own opinion from my own experience with it. I am just going off what someone was doing on All-Madden yesterday. Where did I ever say it was definitive? Maybe you need to go back and read.

Matter fact, I'll help you and show you what I said pertaining to a stream I watched:

This^^^^^^ A billion times this. The type of catch depends on the route run. If you are running a screen you sure as hell better be ready to run after the catch.

So stupid . . . Fixing and issue that wasn't there.

...so hit the button for RAC or let the computer catch it for you.

I haven't played the game yet, obviously, but I could see how some people could "cheese" with the aggressive catch (if it is indeed overpowered). I could also see it being helpful...there were so many times (too many to count) on last years Madden where my WR/TE would do the worst possbile animation for a Redzone jumpballs (other at other times where jumping would've been ideal), now I'll be able to at least have the option of Making them go up and attempt to catch the ball.

I still don't see how this helps the situation. So you're throwing into the endzone. You can scratch rac catch off the list right away. Now it's a matter of ball placement. High jump balls or fade equal aggressive. Curl, low passes on a drag is a possession.

If we need to choose the correct catch animation to prevent the game from choosing a poor one, that's terrible programming by the developers. Otherwise its just a gimmick.
