I concur, but remember we play sim and I may only attempt 3 to 4 per gm and may have 1 or 2 that are completed. I've seen more knocked by the cpu than I've caught, I know that for fact. Keep in mind, I'm not just throwing deep high point passes all game to my elite WR. I'm actually taking what they give me, and usually it's an attempt to multiple WR's/TE's.
I use the Skins and Garcon has caught some but not D Jax. So alot of it is how the user decides to play the game and who they're targeting.

The only problem i have with a aggressive catches is that they can be "forced" on every play if you want them to be which makes for times where you cant have a DB defend it in time. What also make it op in a sense is that for a majority of aggressive catches the WR gets a hold of the ball at first and then it gets knocked out. Make it feel like your moreso hoping for a drop then defending it well.

Personally id like to see more knockdowns before the receiver can get a hand on it.

Have you tried using the X button to swat the ball. Doing that I find the DBs have some pretty sweet swat animations.

The one thing I disagree with is if in the real NFL they could throw 40 passes to Calvin Johnson and have him catch 40%+ of them for 30+ yards you would only see them do that all game long.

The only lucky thing is that they have sliders that when messed with will correct this issue moving forward. All I know is that with the little MUT SP I have played I could throw it up to Cooper all game long and get gets about 80-90% of the 1:1s vs 60ish rated CBs. In Franchise I noticed less of this and CBs were knocking these balls down more.

Yeah if they did attempt to throw that much to him irl, in a single game, he'd either be so fatigued it just wouldn't happen or he'd get hurt.
Also, I've only played vs CPU in Play now and default all-pro. And the cpu does knock down 3 out 4. It may be easier to do in MUT and user vs user, idk haven't played those modes.
Also sliders do seem to be really effective across the board, so that's great news for CFM!

Honestly based on what I've seen if they just run the AI controlled DBs to play man in these cases instead of play ball (unless it's a clear pick) it would balance out a lot more

From what I've experience, it is far more balanced on All-Madden.

Also people need to play the ball more...like real DB's do. We are just used to playing Madden D by just pressing Y, but I have been using X with much success.

Also, it gets better when you turn ball hawk off. I feel I am better able to put the defender where I want instead of the game doing it for me.

Hmmm I read his tweet. I guess he can't comment much but it's not a yes or no. First he linked a tutorial video on how stop steaks. So the guy assume it won't be tone down. Then he said that but he didn't say yes it will be tone down or no.

@RexDEAFootball: @ManuGinobili987 Tuning update out soon. Want people to know there are defensive counters and lob streakers lose a lot more than win.

Re: Madden 16: Is the new Aggressive Catch overpowered?

I think people have different definitions of "OP". In my opinion, it's not that aggressive catching is OP (I do see the balance as far as the defense being able to get their fair share of breakups, deflections, INT's, etc..) it's the fact that too many receivers are able to trigger one handed / spectacular catches that should only be triggered by elite receivers. Far too often I'm seeing average receivers going up & pulling down catches with 2 or 3 defenders draped all over them. I'm seeing defenders in perfect position to get INT's only to see the receiver magically come down with the ball (almost as if the animation is predetermined in the receivers favor). How often do we see this IRL? I'm seeing catches that you would only see about 3 to 4 times a year in the NFL happen about 3 to 4 times a game in Madden smh.

So in my humble opinion, I do think aggressive catching needs to be toned down. Rex is so caught up with people calling it "OP" when maybe that's the wrong terminology. The question we should be asking is how often do we see these types of catches IRL? I understand that if you have an elite receiver he should be able to come down with most of these aggressive catches if not defended properly, but I shouldn't be seeing average receivers being able to do the same with regularity.
