Considering we were told a while ago that the guys in Austin spent the majority of this cycle *tuning* things like regression and confidence it is completely baffling to me that these kind of bugs/glitches can be in the release day build .
Add in the fact that apparently IR appears to be broken again when it worked fine in M15 and it does cause me to question my confidence in the CFM team

Again, unless it is something they can push through quicker on the server side for Online CFMs. This strikes me as something they can do if the fix is not completely changing features, but just messing with the formulas that relate to the severity of the in-game progress/regression.

Very much a drag for offline CFM players like me who like to control all 32 teams. That being said, I may stick with online CFM this year - I like to control 32 teams to "fix" stupid CPU owner decisions regarding trades, re-signing and the like... but a number of things that have happened in the REAL NFL I would have fixed, so I don't even know what is realistic and what's not anymore. Just looked at what happened with Murray/Foles this year, Peyton getting cut years ago, Favre getting traded, cut in Year 2, and ending up with a rival.

Same thing with the Draft and starting rookies - I used to fix stupid CPU decisions about not starting their high draft picks at least in Year 2, but now you see things like the Browns not going with Manziel (and bringing in a vet QB to sit in front of him) and the Rams drafting Gurley even though they were loaded at RB already.

So bringing this back a bit - I think we should all cross our fingers that the severity of these things can be fixed server-side for Online CFMs fairly quickly, and then try to be okay with the lack of 32 team control given the craziness that is today's NFL. Not ideal, of course.

Re: In-Game Progression Bug Tied To Drive Goals (Will Be Patched, Says Developer)

CFM has multiple game breaking bugs this year, and yes it is SHOCKING when the excuse for lack of new features, was "tuning." This "tuning" has broken an already bare-bones CFM experience. Do not get your hopes up for all of this being fixed for madden 16, i am serious right now the game has not been released to the public and ther are 4 game breaking CFM bugs.

It makes you want to go to tried and true quotes like "same old madden..."

I really question what the team is doing for the development cycle, i know some OS members go to help test this stuff but like my god who are they choosing to test, that this stuff is missed?

I would be embarrassed and ashamed if i offered a service/product this broken, you look at what 2k is doing and you want to cry, because that SHOULD be us! We are entitled to a quality sim football game where we can run a functional franchise mode.

The state of CFM has devastated me this year, i am going to be forced to play a basketball video game (i don't even really like basketball) just to get my team building experience since once again Madden is broken beyond repair.

Mark my words they will not fix all of the issues this development cycle, if you are a CFM player try to hold on the purchase (i know it is tough). And do what you can by having a voice and tweeting the devs.

speaking of twitter what is the CFM person's twitter?

In a one year development cycle they could not find or fix these bugs, 6 weeks is the absolute earliest they can be fixed, i would guess not all of them will be fixed this year.

My guess they fix the extreme regression & xp bugs, but the draft classes are never tuned.

They tuned draft classes a couple years ago. I think M25

Madden has no identity. It's like the ghosts of all the past lead designers live in it, and they don't get along well.

CFM seems to be an ambitious, but totally flawed mode. Every year there are just mess of bugs. They need to redo it...again.

Ever since they went to CFM it's been a bug riddled mess year in, year out. Gameplay seems to get better, but for those of us that want our franchise mode, it's rather frustrating.

I really hope they can patch this quickly.

Agreed, CCM/CFM/Franchise or whatever the heck they call it now needs to be totally scrapped and built from scratch. This mode is a mess every year.

This really does seem like the only option at this point. I applaud them for trying something, but it just isn't working at this point. Literally and figuratively.

what do you expect when there's no competition? everyone saw this coming a mile away when they bought the exclusive rights. its a shame. there's no sense of urgency form the madden team. they have the convenience of not having to release a playable game....because we have nowhere else to go. the exclusive license is a detriment to the fans of football gaming....the developers dont work for us or our money anymore. they do just enough to add a few bullet points to the back of the case every year and leave a wide range of issues that makes the die hard fans suffer.

i dont buy for a second this dev team didnt know about this issue. theres no way possible this game went gold without game modes and gameplay within each mode being tested. i found this issue within a quarter of my first preseason game by just looking at the in game depth chart.

Yea agreed. If there is no good and workable workaround for this mess, then I'm going to hold off buying until people review the first patch in 6 weeks.

It's absolutely pointless to get this game right now if I strictly playing offline franchise mode. Like some stats like sacks being inflated I can deal with. Having all my players getting huge attribute boots actually breaks the game.

                          Sigh.

Unfortunately, it seems like foreshadowing for the eventual removal of Franchise mode. It doesn't make them money like MUT, so pouring resources into it is not worthwhile.

This designer team cares less about Franchise than the past one, but hopefully the next team cares a fraction that the 2K teams do. But that's not something we should cling on.

I understand that we need to work together to find a workaround, but as consumers.. we shouldn't have to. We do not work for EA, we're not paid to do this. And it's a shame.

Pretty sure that was confirmed (not sure where) but it obviously won't have a fix for this.
