Re: In-Game Progression Bug Tied To Drive Goals (Will Be Patched, Says Developer)

After playing some more cfm yesterday im not even gonne bother buying the game. The drive goal bug and the o-line regression bugs completely ruin cfm.
They might patch it soon in online cfm but im not gonne play that. I invest too much time in one game to have the connection drop on me in the 4th quarter and have to play the game all over again.
really disappointed in ea, this is 3 years in a row. Im seriously almost done with madden all together no trust in ea anymore, they dont even care

Can anyone confirm deny the qtr length is tied to the bug??

If I start my online cfm with this not being patched and say a week later they patch it would the patch affect my online cfm that's already in progress or would I still be stuck with the problem post patch

Thanks to BleedGreen710 for posting this information. Also, kudos to the Forum Administrator Millenium for unlocking a post that should have never been locked in the first place. The OP is relating a serious problem which makes it virtually impossible to play franchise games. This is definitely not a simple bug or glitch, though I respect Operation Sports for keeping all of those in one thread.

In my opinion, in-game individual goals, which apparently caused this issue, are unrealistic and do not represent the true-to-life experience of a real game. XP is a great idea but it should be awarded in practice and at season's end based on how that player performed overall. The goal of the game is to win and not in how many yards your RB can gain.

Looks like another year of M12 for me. Maybe next year.

I played a full season on 6 min qtr and this didn't not happen to me at all. My highest cnf rating was 88. I will post pics soon. Was Browns went 8-8.

I guess we'll know more when we all have the game. I need to stop obsessing.

I wouldn't and I'm sure many other franchise/CFM guys wouldn't be disappointed at all if EA decided to turn off the new drive goals feat. Especially since it is what caused these progression/regression issues.

Seems like the issue is cnf isn't capped at 100. So I am sure they will cap that. It's an easy fix but it won't fix the fact that you whole team by week 8 on 10 min qtrs will all be at 100 cnf and have all be plus 4 ovr. Don't know how they can fix that when every time you do a goal your team goes plus 1 cnf. It's crazy I lose by 21 but everyone goes at least plus 5 cnf. I just don't see how they missed that and didn't see it as an issue. I was 1-7 first 8 weeks then all my players turned into gods and I won the last 6 games. I was on 6 min qtrs so I didn't get the big in game boost issue but all my players where still plus 4 ovr and it made run and pass way to easy.

I would not be upset in the least if they do away with drive goals all together. I understand some people like these things and if they didn't break other parts of the game I would just ignore it and play the way I always play. I have zero desire to try to attain these goals. I mean HELLO, I play to win the game! Make drive goals and all of that stuff a mini game outside of CFM. It is unrealistic in my opinion and doesn't belong.

If any of this XP stuff has to be included, just give us points in training camp and let us distribute the points where we want and then leave it alone until OTA's. Give players points of emphasis to improve on in the off season and distribute points again during OTA's.

It is so frustrating that they've decided to take the game in this direction with all of this stuff that is not very realistic yet forces you to take all of this time in between games. A simple on/off switch would be ideal.

Give me Formation Subs and the ability to edit #'s and equipment on all teams without 32 team control. You can keep the rest of that stuff........

It is very disappointing testing did not notice it or that EA knew of it and decided to patch it later.

As a strictly offline / sim / CFM player, I'm VERY disappointed that the game is unplayable for me UNTIL they patch these issues and UNTIL it's confirmed that these fixes don't crater the game in other areas...

Based on the severity and number of issues, "multiplied" by the number of likely causes, I'm more than pessimistic...

in my opinion these goals and confidence need to be done away with. no more overalls getting boosted. If tom brady is on a hot streak i Dont think he is going to start throwing the ball farther or more accurate than he already does.

                                Okay, I'm intrigued:

How is this possible with the issues outlined in both this thread and this:

                                http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-too-soon.html

I'm used to having to deal with flaws that require inspired workarounds and having to let more than a few things slide, but these issues appear to be well beyond the norm...

Any detail you (or anyone) can provide that makes single player CCM even remotely satisfying for multiple seasons would likely reel me back in the boat...
