Yeah, that makes sense. I couldn't figure out how confidence would be moving around in-game (prior to this year it doesn't) - I forgot about the drive goals which do exactly that. So it's a bug that was introduced by a new feature.

Since there's no penalty to not completing drive goals, I doubt this is a problem on the cold-streak side.

Would be cool if a temporary fix is just ignoring drive goals. You can turn off the prompts for this, right? When you do that does it lock that part of the system down? Not ideal, but could work in the short-term.

Are the players actually playing of the charts? Or is something off with the calculations when they appear on the screen? I take it there is no way to turn off the hot streaks. I understand the dev's are looking into it but, I'm wondering if this is something that will require a full on patch.

I was really looking forward to playing in franchise for the first time in years. Every year something in franchise is so screwy that I end up playing a bunch of Play Now games. And with the late August release date, the patch comes so far into the real season and after NBA 2K comes out that I end up shelving the game 3 or 4 weeks after purchase.

Yep that is the issue ever year there is at least 1 game play or franchise mode problem that was not a problem the year before that is a game killer. Last year it was the million sacks a game and the owner mode money issue. To have found this bad a glitch when the game is not even out yet and only a few people have the game is really sad. I am sure this is not the only bad glitch in the game going by how madden has been the last like 8 years. 1 step forward 2 steps back.

At least a developer acknowledged it right away and said it will be fixed. That's a pretty quick response.

While yeah I know just sucks wanting for patches and some times patches don't work has while has they should or end of causing other issues.

First of all read the memo when this thread got re-opened, no slanderment of EA/Madden or this thread will be shut. So go complain somewhere else please.

Question: if this issue is related to game goals - do game goals still rack up for the team if you're a 3rd string QB on the bench? Or are the goals precipitated by the player you're controlling in your franchise who is ACTUALLY ON THE FIELD, and playing with the team. This is a big question for the CPU vs CPU crowd. Does your player have to be in the game contributing for these goals/hot streaks to manifest ?????

Also: are we sure that these hot streaks only occur when your team is up big??? Big question

Strangely, it's everyone on the team up and down the depth chart. Check the very first posting, the pics are pretty amazing. Crossing fingers this'll lead to a quicker patch release, but wouldn't be surprised if folks on the board found workarounds...

Right, but maybe to incur team goals, you actually have to be on the field contributing(the player u select in CFM or it makes sense for a coach) , so just maybe if your controlled player is on the bench, u can't rack up goal achievements .. ? Just an idea
