    Can't answer that.

Is there a lot of variety to the appearance and affects of the new ball carrier moves? For example, in FIFA you have like 90 moves you can do based on button combos, skill, situation, etc... I think I counted around 24 different moves that they described in madden, but are they all just variations of spin moves, stiff arms, hurdles, etc? Or are they completely different moves if you use one of the modifiers (LT, RT, etc)?

Other than what you said in the OP, can you give any more info on how ice the kicker works?

I haven't explored it to its fullest but your estimate of the number of moves seems about right.

You mentioned a player trying to recover a fumble and the ball squirting out, kicked around, etc. Have there been changes to how the ballcarrier reacts when he fumbles? I think we all know how frustrating it's been in the past to see a player get hit, fumble, and the ball lays on the ground next to him but he can't pick it up because we have to wait for the animation to finish of him getting up off the ground first (and it's slow, to boot). Will that player now react any faster while the ball is loose?

              I hope that made sense.

Yes. I saw guys reaching one arm out while on the ground to try to recover the ball.

I assume there's going to be a blog on this so I don't want to step on it.

Now that the blog has come out, could you go into more detail about how the gap system works or how zone players have evolved?

Will move throughout their space to pick up receivers as opposed to when they would just sit in the middle and wait for someone to catch it?

Is the gap system (1/2 gap) predicated by the specific play or team style?

                      Is there a 1 gap 34 vs 2 gap 34?

Does a zone blitz feel more effective or do robo QBs still automatically find the open receiver?

The first question will be detailed in a future coverage blog, so I can't discuss it.

From my time with the systems and reading over the blog, the gap system is predicated on formation and play, along with the alignment with the offense. So a 3-4 where the NT is heads-up over the C will almost always have 2 gap responsibilities, but if he's off alignment or in 4-3, it'll be 1-gap. Not sure what happens if you slide your 3-4 DL around to change their alignment. Something to look at in retail.

I would really need more time with the game to be able to answer that last question.

Do ratings tie into blocking kicks.

Are the specialty punts dependent on Punter ratings/traits?

I believe ratings tie into blocking kicks, yes.

I'm not sure if there's a penalty window for lesser-rated kickers when it comes to the specialty punts.

This has been one of my biggest frustrations for years...a guy on the ground, ball next to him, nobody within 6 yards, and he still couldn't recover it. Hearing that they actually try now just seriously made my day! Thank you!

It might sound strange, but for me? This is like a big back-of-the-box feature for me lol I love it.

Do the new ball physics mean that wind affects the ball on pass plays now?
