    1. Was this animation sequence fluid? (sorry might be an impression)

    2. Have they worked on animation fluidity?

    3. Have they improved on wr/db interactions?

    4. Can you elaborate on more catch sequences. Specifically catch sliding/knee/ankle catches.

    5. During tackle battles, where did the button indicator show up on the screen? Over players heads?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

The good thing is they can tune how often they play out, how tight the timing window is, etc, so if they are supposed to happen with players within a certain range, they can tighten or loosen that range if necessary.
Maybe we can get a slider implemented before release that tunes the frequency of them. Then people can play without it with no worries or have Tackle Battle Royales if they so choose.

The defender reached out, the ball popped up, and he settled under it with a 2 hand catch. Fluid is a really imprecise word. It looked...natural.

Animation fluidity and fidelity is a yearly goal for the team. Some old animations still need to be cleared out in order to achieve that goal completely.

The WR/DB interactions will be discussed in a blog I think so I'm going to refrain from detailing that.

So, tackle battles: runner and defender clash, button prompt pops above the clash (it's just a rendered picture of the button), if you get the timing, it has a small green circle around it and you break the tackle. If you miss the window or press the wrong button it gets a red circle around it and you get tackled. It's very small and the whole interaction takes a half second.

I honestly think a lot of people here are overreacting without seeing it. But we'll see when video comes out.

Are bobbled catches in? Do ball carriers reach their arms out for first downs and touchdowns?

Does weight and momentum matter in the physics in the gameplay of madden 17?

Is there still foot planting or is the running more back to swirving again ? seems i saw mention of "Steerable" numerous times in running game blog. Just curious if steerable = swirve?

I don't think player physics have had much changed in 17

I think the biggest issue people have is that there initially isn't an option for it and it does seem gimmicky on the surface even though we don't really know yet. Just on the surface it's something I already know I'd just rather have the game and ratings handle instead of user input but if I have to use it I will and I'm willing to give it a shot but I definitely think options are better for everyone.

They wanted to take something that had no user influence and give it some user influence. I dunno, to each their own but I'm as hardcore as anyone and the thought of turning it off never crossed my mind.

I read a couple of your examples but was there a certain play that really jumped out to you?

In terms of the ball physics? All of those

These tackle battles sound no different than trucking, or spin or stiff arm; except we are adding the user to try and determine the outcome against an equal opponent in a specific situation, the stand up collision; so I can see this even being avoided by dive tackles or low hit stick, maybe?

So, we have to have equal opponents, in a specific position/event, for this to even trigger; I believe this action will not take away from the game...Nothing like having to press a button faster than your opponent or hit a sequence of buttons without error, to win.

I would say just overall. Maybe a run play that would have never happened in previous maddens or a certain defensive look or reaction to an offensive drive.
