Madden usually has a three year plan for things. True step first came to fruition for Madden 25 (year 1), then possibly more work done for Madden 16 (year 2). In other words, going by their 3 year plan, will we see the "final" product for True Step finally get properly implemented to each and every single one on the field? Madden 17 will be year 3 for "true step" implementation. If not, does that mean Madden's talk about 3 year plans are now really 5 or 7 year plans?

Note: "True Step" should honestly be priority number one above all other gameplay concerns on account of fact that it deals with footwork, in turn, affecting accelerating, deceleration, speed, agility, movement, running routes, defensive back coverage, defensive backs ability to keep up with receivers, OL's true ability to block the DL, DL true ability to rush the passer, etc. etc. etc. etc. True step should theoretically eliminate motion shifting, and warping if it works as intended.

If a defensive player gets beat, physics and true step would prevent him from motion shifting, sliding and warping to make the tackle. If the offensive lineman gets beat by the defensive lineman, physics and true step would prevent the OL from motion shifting, slding and warping to make a magical recovery block.

True step can't be held back for all 22 players on the field because offensive and defensive formations or plays don't work properly if 'true step' is implemented right? One should respect how the "formations/plays" play out with 'true step' and 'physics' put into place for everything on the field is my wish for Madden.

Bottom line question: When will we see "true step" fully implemented for all 22 players on the field? (Might as well include referee getting "true steps" as well.)
    Yo...what is this?

How am I supposed to answer this?

BTW, a bunch of answers are in the first post, including some I've repeated recently. I'm going to start ignoring those and ones that are obviously things I can't answer. At this point the rules are pretty clear.

Now that the blogs are out, I can finally ask how was your experience with the new swat mechanics and the special teams?

Alright, so some of this stuff is subject to tuning of course, but the new manual swat works exactly how they describe it. It sells out to stop the pass but leaves you open to RAC opportunities, as well as taking you out of the chance to get an INT. But it definitely works to combat AGG catches, which themselves have been tuned to be the land of the elite WR, much like how the ball carrier tiers work.

With regards to special teams, I want to point out some things missing in that blog. One is that you can hold A/X on the final click of the 3 click meter to try to throw the timing off on your opponent. We played a few head to head games and it was very much a good way to throw your opponent off and induce an offside penalty. Additionally, I had the AI run a fake punt on me when I lined up in block punt too many times in a row.

Oh, and punts and kicks aren't just straight blocks. You can mistime the jump, straight miss the ball, tip it and have it still go through on a FG, tip it and have it miss wide, go backwards, hit the goalpost, etc. Same thing with punts. The live ball physics play a part in all of this.

How about those zones. Can you gives us some things you seen. And do we really truly have a counter for all route concepts

Was your 2nd favorite addition in either blog?

What exact rating(s) determine a wrs ability to use aggressive catch? They say guys like OBJ Dez etc but what's the determining factor? Will guys like Mike Evans and Kelvin Benjamin have it? Guys who aren't super athletic but are jump Ballers.

How long was your learning curve for the new zones?

How much more organic do the ball physics make the passing game?

I get swat is used to counter agg catch but is it effective other times? For example if I jump a route and the wr isn't even in a catching animation yet, if I hit swat will I swat the ball down while ignoring the wr or will we pulled into a 2 player animation?

Someone asked earlier if Cover 3 Mable is in the game to combat 3x1 alignment. It is, though I didn't really use it to test out how it looks (I was focused on Rip and Liz).

I specifically pattern matched from cover 3 against smash and corner routes and with good enough defenders it does work and creates tough passes for the QB.

Other favorite addition not announced yet. Thinking next week based on some stuff I saw tonight.

I'm not sure which ratings specifically play into aggressive catch but my guess is jumping, spec catch, CIT, agility. I'll try to find out.

Are you referring to when I was on offense or defense with regards to adjustments to new zones?

Ball physics impact the passing game, but primarily when it comes to tips and deflections.

Swat is primarily used in AGG catch scenarios but does work in others, yes.

Mr. price can you talk about the aggressive catch now ? Also the spec catches ,only the elite can do these on a hi % basis now ? I like that and that's how it should of been dez , obj , Julio ,AB and so on ! Yes ever WR is capable on hard catches but most never pull them off that much ! And I like if you keep putting you WR in that situation injury chance gose up ! How do they do this did they make a big change in the spec catch rating or is there a spec catch trait now that the elite get ?

I meant defensively but now that you mention it both lol. Did cloud flat ever trick you into a bad decision on offense?

Plenty of times where I threw a pass and afterwards said "he wasn't supposed to be there," so, yeah.

Defensively, it's hard to say, as things mostly worked how they should. Not so hard to adjust to that.

Awesome, I know you know real life defense, I was concerned that added all these real life mechanics but they were more or less simplified to be pick up and play.
