I saw a tweet where Rex mentions the new gap plays having an effect on QB pressure but it seems he might be referring to blitzes since Madden already had 1 gap technique or did they improve that, if so how?

Is block steering now used by the CPU/AI in M17?

Has the edge rush been improved so QBs need to step up vs doing excessively deep dropbacks?

Has the engaged interactions/animations between pass rushers and blockers been changed/improved, so for example you don't see pass blockers, when beaten, release the defender and snap back into a pass blocking stance, while back peddling vs turning around and giving chase? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-iFPwtUqdQ
I believe there is still a blog to come on pass rushing.

I thought the only other gameplay blog that's coming out is about zone and man coverage?

I don't know the schedule, but I thought I saw a tweet about there being more to come, and I'm not going to risk discussing something they are going to blog about. If we get to Franchise and it hasn't been discussed at all, I'll talk about it.

On the new kick meter. Does the play start while you trying to set the power and accuracy on the kick meter?

Rex did say in the OS treads he wants SUE (Nadomican suh) to feel and play just like he dose in real life ! So a pass rush must come with that!

No. It works like kick meters past.

                Question

With some of the new zone concepts being more adaptive/smart more like real life. Do you notice a difference in the smartness of players in zone with pattern reading zones vs spot zones. And all zones being 1-2 reads. Like vert hook and so on. Are the zones tuned more accurately vs Madden 16?

We know they added new zones but the AI has to be programmed for them to work better. Hopefully they work on these zones correctly and the AI makes the reads correctly. With them adding all these different zones if they mess up this coding it could make things worse. Hopefully its good to go and this will prevent Problem and some other guys who run 1 play game defenses

I only really tested pattern matching, but I did it with all-22 IRL footage in front of me and didn't notice anything off.

Can you describe, based on what you saw when you played, some examples of what separates a low AWR/PRC player when it comes to the new zone concepts and pattern matching?

For example, do they play a hard flat instead of the called assignment, let's say cloud flat?

Another example, would a low AWR/PRC player not swap when routes cross (switch), recreating a blown assignment, thus doubling one player and leaving another open?

                    Thank you!

I really hope this is the case, can you ask Rex?

There aren't blown assignments but lower-rated PRC guys are slower to react to their keys. So a linebacker with low PRC who is supposed to man up on a shallow cross from the opposite side of the field may continue to drop back, while a guy with high PRC will step up and play the route much faster and more aggressively. I specifically tested this with different secondaries.

Now that the gameplay blogs are nearly finished did the QB Evade Maneuvers make it into the game. My belief is they would need something like this for the new pass rushing mechanic strip sack.

I don't know that these are any different than last year.

I saw that tweet and apparently misunderstood it, so you are saying illegal man/ineligible receiver downfield penalty has been added to M17?
