Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
Went through the packers playbook and trimmed down every formation to only having 12 plays... Applied all plays to a half star... Assigned every play to 1st down, 2nd/3rd short... Every 11 personal formation to 2nd/3rd long and medium... Fired up a game against cpu and the game crashed lol
I started the game as cpu in play now, gave them custom playbook, then a switched back to my team... Could it be how o did it that crashed the game or the amount of plays?Comment

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
I'm not sure if any of you had tried any of the defensive books yet but I played a game against the steelers last night and was so frustrated! Couldn't get anything going. I was on my toes all game as the defense mixed it up with zone blitzes. I'm thinking I need just for balance purposes to set up more man plays? I did that on my own file to test and it was balanced better. If you remember I didn't rate any stars so it's a crapshoot what they call. But I've never seen the CPU defense so tough!
The defensive playbook ratings and lack of formations in sets is bad out of the box! Wow! I'm so thankful for this workaround!
That being said I'm doing the cardinals defensive book now. This one is fun as I'm trying to replicate their defense, get honey badger involved, as well as use the speed of 7 DB's package they use, exotic blitzes etc. should be fun!Basketball Playbooks

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
I was having a ton of issues at first within CFM doing this as well but kind of figured out the easiest way to do it I think.
The big thing for me was being signed into only one account and having one controller on at a time until you're ready to play. Seemed like every time I had them both on things became a lot harder and more annoying. What I did was signed into the dummy account only and downloaded the playbooks I wanted to try. Then I exited and signed out of that account and into my main account and loaded up my CFM. With my main account I created another character (3rd string QB) for the team I was playing and went back to my main character.
I've only done it once but I didn't plug my second controller in until I was at the team select screen and it prompts you to sign in and that's when I signed into my dummy account and it kicked me from the team select screen back to the CFM menu so it's probably best to sign in beforehand. But then I went to the team select screen again using the main controller, moved the second over and the playbook I downloaded was there.Comment

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
Thanks Deuce, I got it working. Wow, I got beat down by the cowboys using the bears. It was freaking awesome to see the cowboys play with some intelligence. They threw me off a couple times with their plays calls, so much more fun like this. I wish they would come up with a way to accomplish this in online cfms.
*Can someone please start a thread a step-by-step process of how to do it for PS-4 ?
*Is it necessary to edit CPU Defensive Playbooks ?
*And can use start with an empty playbook and still do Formation Subs ?

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
1- IMO yes it's necessary to have defensive playbooks done. It's like playing a human with defenses picked. All formations used in proper situations. Gone are the days of CPU calling cover 0 on 3rd and 15. Also, the CPU wouldn't even call nickel a gaps, etc. they all had for the most part the same plays rated. It's 1000x better and more realistic. It's night and day! I didn't realize the difference before last night as I'd never done this before. It just takes this game to another level with realism and difficulty.
2- as long as you use the teams base defense and don't add formations outside of what's in their base defense you can formation sub those packages. Let's say the cardinals don't have a 4-3 (they don't) but you add it. You can not formation sub the 4-3 package but can all others in their base. Make sense?
Lastly, the cards d playbook is done and up on madden share. Op updated...Basketball Playbooks

I'll post a better walkthru tutorial on op when I get a chance but I don't think it's any different than the xbox1.

Would be very grateful if someone could do a Dallas Offense/Defense playbook for PS4.PSN-Shugarooo

That worked. Thank you. Are you switching the controller on the dummy account to the middle before the game starts or after game starts? I tried switching after the game started, but all the controls were locked. As a result, my third string quarterback takes over the game whenever there is a field goal.Comment

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
1. Create a secondary profile/account on your playstation. You can learn how to do that here.
2. With the 2nd profile/account active, go to Customize --> Playbooks. If you want to create your own playbook, scroll over to "Create playbook." If you want to download a playbook of Madden Share, go to Customize --> Share/manage files. Scroll over to offensive/defensive playbooks, download what you want.
3. Once you have your desired playbook (either one you've made or downloaded), again, make sure you have it saved to the 2nd profile/account (NOT your main PS4 profile).
4. Go back to your MAIN profile (easiest way to do that is by turning on another controller and choosing your main profile. When you're at the main menu, just tap any button on the dpad and Madden will ask you which profile you want in control of the game. It's very easy).
5. Go to Franchise mode. Go to league settings and TURN OFF ACTIVE STARTER. THIS IS A MUST!!
6. Notice who you are playing against that week. Let's say you are the Raiders and you're up against the Saints. What you want to do is click DOWN on the RIGHT STICK and then "Create New." Choose the team you're playing against (the Saints). Choose player. Then ACTIVE player. Choose that team's 3rd string QB. (You will have two "players" active at this point - you as the coach/owner and the 3rd stringer on the Saints).
(Note: if they do not have a 3rd string QB on the roster for any reason, first choose ACTIVE COACH, cut a player, and then sign a QB so that team has 3 QB's. This is important because you ideally want the player to NEVER check into the game.)
7. Push DOWN on RIGHT STICK again. Go back to your team's dashboard. (So you would click back over to Raiders owner/coach).
8. Start up your game against the Saints as usual. On the controller select screen, make sure your controller is over on your side and the 2nd controller is over on the opposing team's side. Using the 2nd controller, go to "Advanced Settings." Then choose the CUSTOM PLAYBOOK you want the CPU to utilize. Now you're ready to start the game.
When you boot up the game, because your opponent is a 3rd string QB, he should never check-in. Meaning the CPU should operate just as they normally would. However, your custom playbook WILL work for them.
The reason you have to do a player and not a coach for the opposing team is because there is no way to NOT play as the coach. The game will not let you continue if you have 2 coach profiles up against each other and then try to slide one of them over to CPU control in the middle.
Kind of sucks but the workaround WORKS.
Let me know if you have any questions.Last edited by SwaggerCoach; 08-27-2016, 03:52 PM.Comment

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
I DL'd and played the Chargers using your offensive and defensive playbooks. Defensively they played well. I lost 34-17 and they got me good at the goal line where I tried to run a play fake and they were in a Cover 4 and I threw right into it. I'm having serious issues on All-Madden getting my players to play the pass like they have a brain so I gave up over 500 yards passing to Rivers. They started the game passing on like 18 of the first 20 plays but I think it has to do with how successful they were early because I also played a game against Pittsburgh using your playbook and they were extremely successful running the ball early and then just continued to pound it down my throat and Roethlisberger finished with only like 18 attempts. The playcalling felt great though, very unpredictable which was awesome and refreshing. I just need to figure out how to eliminate the Robo QB.Comment
