Does anyone know if formation subs will still work if we change to generic playbook?

They would still work for YOUR team, but since you're switching the CPU teams playbook on them to a generic one, it would probably negate any formations subs CPU teams have set up.

However according to KingV2k3 the CPU teams "recalibrate" their playbooks each off-season, so you don't need to bother with substituting generic playbooks after season 1. Which means the CPU teams will at least use good play calling AND formation subs AFTER season 1 all on their own.

Does anyone know if CPU teams really do "recalibrate" their playbooks each season?

Make sure your guest account has the playbooks downloaded to it.

Each account on your system will have different files saved to it. Unfortunately, the playbook files must be saved to the guest account.

If you need a quick way to transfer files, just go to EA share, upload the playbook, switch accounts, and download it from the guest account.

When I am with guest account and try to go to "Download Community Files", it says "Your Gamer Profile does not have the correct permissions to access this feature" So I can't download custom playbooks with guest account.

Can somebody help me with this, please?

You can select "ACTIVE PLAYER" and this works much easier. I just choose the 3rd string QB.

Almost done tweaking my BALANCED ATTACK playbook. I'm playing on All-Pro. Once I bumped CPU run block to 60, I started getting MUCH better results.

Playbook is starting to really look good and the CPU is playing great football with it. Seeing lots more variety.

If you utilize shot plays in your playbooks, I highly suggest making sure the offense has full protection - 3WR sets just let the CPU QB get pummeled.

Should have the playbook up on PS4 Madden share by tomorrow. I'm going to test 1 more game.

So in 32 team CFM I just cant have two controllers active and change playbooks that way? Without having to do the other stuff.

You could do the generics that way (which also give better CPU play calling).

But if you want the custom PB's, you'll have to do it like in the OP.

You can view the generics playcalling logic if you want to make sure it doesn't have a bunch of the same calls in multiple situations.

Steelers and Packers final draft is up! I tested both these and it was the most fun I've ever had playing a game before. It plays 1000x different than the rough drafts... Both are titaled by customteamnameos and says final draft in the comments. Try them in play now. Let me know what you think.

Edit: I forgot to add all audibles are down as was every situation.
