From a CPU versus CPU standpoint is madden 19 a big step up from 18 Via physics and graphics

For Madden 20, they need too have the user able too control all 32 teams in franchise and not have there user name tied too it. Its a total eye sore too have user name at the bottom of the ticker for your team. Really takes away from the CPU-vs-CPU experience. Please implement this in the next version of Madden for us CPU franchise guys.

Cpu vs cpu is the best it’s ever been. Here’s my slider thread. https://forums.operationsports.com/f...u-sliders.html

Check out the op, it’s got all kinds of tips, impressions, stats, and most important, sliders.

Game plays really smooth in this mode this year. Best ever. Biggest problem is the cpu AI isn’t good at managing timeouts near the end of the half. Sometimes it’s aggravating that they keep timeouts in their hip pockets when they could kick a FG, but they let time run out. Other than that, it looks really good.

You just have to be patient and watch a whole season. The stats end up averaging almost right on the money with real NFL stats, it’s just every game isn’t going to be the average. You’ll see 10-12 sack games at times, and other stat highs, but there’s lows and median games that balances the stats out.

          Hope you enjoy it man.

A Definitive Guide to CPU-CPU, Play the Moment, and Super Sim

I've never done play the moments proper w/ game speed at normal etc. Just played week 4 in a M18 NYJ CFM and jeez it was fun and intense. Beat JAX 16-13 in OT.

On offensive moments I play QB only. On defensive moments I play FS only. All on Pro (default) with 12 min qtrs, 14 sec runoff.

I got through the game very quickly too. I now see how good this could be for gamers with limited time.

Re: A Definitive Guide to CPU-CPU, Play the Moment, and Super Sim

trying to understand why this is happening and hoping someone can shed light...

I've been watching games CPU versus CPU and built my team up to be unstoppable defensively, and I'm very successful versus the run (rank number one), but horrible against the pass and can't figure out why. Also I have five pass rushers out of the seven players in front, and barely getting enough sacks.

              attacking 4-3
              DL rated 95,83,99,91
              LB rated 84,86,84
              coverage type DBs rated 89cb, 89cb, 90fs, 88ss
sliders all at 50, all-pro setting.

regardless of the playbook I use, whether blitzing most of the time or playing coverage most of the time, I can't cover the pass or get sacks. Using 4-3, nickel, dime or quarter defense doesn't help.

I even have a third CB rated 81 who sometimes gets defensive player of the week honors, so I know he's good as well.

I've tried man coverage, zone coverage and blitz and nothing works.

As I watch the games, I can't get any pass rush. my past rushers are rated in the 90s going against guys rated in the 70s and getting stonewalled.

If I Sim the games without watching, the results are even worse. I give up 600 yards.

Any ideas what's going on here?
              Thanks

Re: A Definitive Guide to CPU-CPU, Play the Moment, and Super Sim

If the CPU QB AI would improve this game would be even better to watch CPUvsCPU. The CPU rarely throws the ball away which leads to high sack numbers, they don’t scramble much & if they do they take weird angles. QBs don’t run all the way over to the sideline and then start running down field.. Id like to see a player like Mahomes throw on the run like irl. Most of the CPU just stand in the pocket, don’t move much & all play the same.

Try my sliders. Qb acc 90 helps all qb problems and doesnt give robo qb with other settings properly configured. Got two sets of sliders on the slider board. One for cfm, one for play now, but play now plays more consistent than cfm. Got the game playing beautifully.

Full game footage from play now action. Watch the last 10 minutes of the vid:

I still need advice on setting up good defense in CPU vs CPU.

No matter how highly my players are rated, the results are mediocre at best.
there is nothing more frustrating than watching your great defense get shredded every single game.

                    Someone must have some suggestions?
                    Thanks

Is accelerated clock ON. If so, there’s your problem. Offenses are way too overpowered with it on.

I set it up with your sliders, exactly to your instructions. Also finding that both teams have 80% completions...

Lots of testers and you’re the first to say anything about high completion percentages.

well the only thing different is I am spectating on very slow speed.

Dont like any faster because then it loses all realism (even though its already poor in realism).

Also I am skipping cut scenes of endless replays, coach reactions etc..., just dont have the patience for waiting.

I dont know if this is causing the problems but did not notice any difference when skipping cutscenes or not...
