I saw a gameplay with Marcus Mariota and he stood there for 5-9 seconds in the pocket until he was sacked. I can tell you right now I'm not buying this game until I hear from someone that his is in their plans for it to be fixed. I've hit up several gamechangers and EA Devs on Twitter just to be ignored.

As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
And I'm frustrated that the gamechangers, and the Devs are simply ignoring this. Mobile quarterbacks don't run or move at all in the pocket and EVERYONE SEES IT.

I think Moonlight Swami is one of the only Gamechangers that is like us, offline CFM'ers.
But yea I agree, sometimes you'll see QB's move around the pocket but it's few and far between. Most of them just stand there and take sacks. It's honestly either the #1 or #2 legacy issue that I wanted fixed before other things. -
Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
Clint has commented on the QB mobility numerous times already on his twitter. And that, regardless of what people are seeing in the videos, he wants them to play the game first before changes are made.
It's not being ignored.
And I will now step out because I hear the mob coming.Comment

If he wants us to play the game first, they should have released a demoComment

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
Not only that, the Quarterback stands like a statue in the pocket.
If you were to look at M17 footage of the QB, he's bouncing, ready to throw the ball which is more realistic than M18, where the QB just stands still like statue. It's such an eyesore and is so bad looking. I don't see how they thought that looked good.Loyal Browns fan

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
telling your consumer to just buy it first and then if we have issues maybe they will fix them is a complete joke and tells u exactly what they think of the consumer.
they arent trying to sell us their product anymore, just tell us to buy it. they know so many of us love football and maddens our only option..
personally i have boughten and just played madden all my laugh...and on next gen they have been real.lacklust on fixing the real issues the SIM community begs for.

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
I'm pretty sure the issue is overblown. As I stated in another thread, the problem is mostly how it looks like a QB taking a sack. To really know if it is an issue, I'd have to se what the actual numbers are.
In that other thread, the poster showed a play where Zak Prescott stood like a statue and and took a sack. The very next play, Prescott felt pressure, scrambled, and then found an open man, throwing on the run. It was textbook.
They may need to tweak AWR or whatever causes a QB to recognize pressure an move, to make it happen more often, but it's no different than the game decides the CPU QB is going to get a delay of game. He just sits there, with no sense of urgency, sometimes for 10 seconds.
If sack totals are way too high, then there needs to be a big change. Otherwise, I think a mountain is being made from a mole hill. There are examples of QBs moving and avoiding the rush.
This is a really good reason why the entire process of breaking down each video is so flawed. On the whole, sports games have trouble animating failure. As gamers, it never looks right. But it used to be that sim guys understood this, and looked at the numbers.Comment

Yes there are times when they run and look right, then the very next play they stand there like a statue again. I mean there are times when LB's would get pancaked and have enough time to get back up on their feet and then sack the QB.
That's when it's too long.
And no the issue isn't overblown. It wasn't overblown last year, and it's not overblown this year either.
Edit: I know for a fact that Tom Brady not only has 99 AWR but he also has "Ideal" as a Sense Pressure trait, and he will still stand there like a statue more often than not.Last edited by extremeskins04; 08-13-2017, 08:43 PM.Comment

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
Even if sack totals are in line with the NFL average, it's a problem if a good chunk come from the QB taking sacks because he is oblivious to the rush. That just means there is a problem with the pass rush so they put a band aid on it and dumbed down the QB playComment
