Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
it's not just Qbs that have the fluid traits, it's also all the other positions too, Hot and Cold streaks during the game also makes for some unique games on 25.
My CB and MLB are Hot and it shows!
As far as your stance on traits being fixed and not fluid, to each his own, sir.Comment

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
I don't think people have an issue with stuff like that happening. It's the ones where they sit there for 5+ seconds and have a lineman directly in their face who simply has to reach out for a sack and the QB still feels he's safe.

It was Cam Newton, and I'm not sure I agree with him getting the Oblivious trait if it means he behaves like that.Comment

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
I have a theory on the inconsistent Qb pocket awareness issues. Last night I was the Vikings playing against the Lions, Stafford did not attempt to escape pressure the entire game, he took multiple coverage sacks just standing there like a statue.
My theory is that since the Vikings have a very good defense the game simulated that by making the cpu Qb AI go dumb.
I don't have time to test this but if someone else could or have by choosing a team with a good defense against the cpu on default All Pro.

QBs do make terrible decisions in real life. Think Jared Goff.

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
I'm not exactly sure where to start this so I'll just start with the good. Here's two scrambles I've seen in my playtime:
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/NaturalGrotesqueBedlingtonterrier' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/ShadyDemandingKillifish' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
Okay, so both of those are great. The Prescott one especially, it's basically perfect because if the RB doesn't attempt to cut Houston or isn't there Prescott gets caught from behind and it's a great looking sack. But he does and Prescott gets away just in time and it looks great. The Wilson one I would have maybe liked to see him turn up field sooner but that's honestly nitpicking and either way it still looks great.
The problem here is that those are the only two scrambles I've seen in my entire time playing. I've played Wilson twice, Prescott, Tyrod Taylor, Rodgers and more and those are the only two times the QB has actually scrambled. I've only played on default All-Madden and default All-Pro and both of those scrambles occurred on the latter.
So onto the statue issue. I honestly think it's worse on All-Madden than it is on All-Pro for whatever reason. My guess is that it's because the pass protection is so much stronger so they have way more time to stand around in the pocket. I was getting 6-8 sacks per game on All-Madden without getting hardly any pressure at all. Here's a couple examples:
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/InsistentSociableAnchovy' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/ReliableImpressionableFieldmouse' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/SophisticatedWaryHerculesbeetle' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>

Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/AnnualGlassGallowaycow' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
So all of those were on default All-Madden and that kind of thing was really common. In the Bills game there were three or four plays where Taylor did the exact same thing he did above but ended up completing passes after everything broke down. Like I said, it seemed a lot worse on All-Madden than All-Pro but here's another one from Brady on All-Pro:
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/WigglyLividBarasingha' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
There's been more than just that occasion but overall on All-Pro it does seem a bit better. QB's will get the ball away quicker it seems and my sacks on default All-Pro have been down to between 2-5 per game but I've still had a few 6+ games as opposed to it being a consistent thing on All-Madden. It's also important to note that I could have a ton more GIFs like those where the QB actually did throw the ball, those were just the worst of the worst but it's something that has been very common.
Now, despite all that, I'm not going to say the QB's don't move at all because they do. I had a nice play that I didn't clip where Matt Ryan took the snap, got immediate pressure to his left, rolled to his right and threw a great ball on the run. There have also been a few times where I've caused inaccuracies by forcing the QB to move. Unfortunately those instances are few and far between and the majority of the time the QB moves it's not exactly with much intelligence and usually does more damage than good for the CPU. Here's a couple of examples:
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/BruisedGoodnaturedAcornweevil' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/ColossalConcreteJerboa' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/GenerousMammothJoey' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/SecondSickAsiantrumpetfish' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/UncommonDentalEyas' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
The last one obviously isn't terrible as he completed the pass and overall it's a nice play but it's the same issue seen in Sim's video, the GIF BleedGreen posted, and a GIF I posted from M17 where QB's avoid sure yardage to often get called for a penalty and/or throw across his body across the field. Sometimes it might workout but 9 times out of 10 it is a horrible decision. The two Hoyer ones I'm willing to deal with. Running backwards obviously is a bad look but immediate pressure can cause things like that but I'd rather see a throwaway in that case. The second one I didn't like how he turned around towards the pressure rather than slipping away from it but overall that play isn't as bad as the first. The Manning play is borderline statue but he at least steps up but then completely ignores the pressure he evaded not even two seconds prior.
Here's one more that just fits into stupid AI but it's a screen pass where Wilson drops back and keeps dropping back just to take a sack, fumble and have it returned for a touchdown. Screen passes should almost never ever result in sacks. There's one read and if it's not there throw it away. Here's the play:
Spoiler<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/ImperfectMammothKitfox' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
And one last one that is by far the worst of all of them but is offset by how funny it is to watch over and over:
<iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/DistantJollyAngora' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' allowfullscreen width='640' height='360'></iframe>
It's disappointing to not see this on the list from the other thread of top things being looked at because it's been the worst part of the game so far for me. I also have a feeling that if they make coverage better it's going to make this problem that much worse. My initial theory is that if the QB doesn't sense "pressure" within a certain period of time, he just ignores pressure all together for some reason. It seems like when you're blitzing and have guys coming free or get free with a guy quickly they'll react to it but if you get late pressure or it's delayed in any way, the QB will just be oblivious. Hopefully it's something that can be improved upon soon.Comment

Full version. I'm currently playing the Panthers and Cam almost scrambled once but as soon as he got to the LOS he threw across his body for an incompletion and illegal forward pass penalty.Comment

Yea I think the issue with QB's scrambling but when they get to the LOS, they throw back across their body like that is more frustrating than anything else.Comment

Thank you for pointing out all madden was played with default sliders. The same for all pro correct?
I hope others that post data when the game is released also outline their settings so the fix can be replicated consistently. Based on your feedback and EAs promise to tune modes independently I'm extremely tempted to completely ignore a lot of sliders for the promise of proper tuning

Re: As a community we cannot accept the current CPU QB play.
Here's another great example of horrible QB play.
Cam Newton gets out of the pocket, breaks a tackle and has nothing but green ahead of him to run and instead throws across his body 30 yards downfield for a pick.
Horrible CPU AI. Won't be buying unless they fix it.
