After Playing EA Access (Or Watching Vids), Are You Buying, Not Sure or No

If you have EA Access and have played Madden 18, are you sold or no?

Also, feel free to vote if you base your purchase decision on gameplay vids.

Definitely. It doesnt look wayyyy better but plays more fluid and challenging imo. Menus are way more reactive and smooth also. Some things still need work but nothing a patch can't fix.

Im definitely going to buy, already got my pre-order and will be paying the game off in full tomorrow. I haven't played the game but i've been watching SimFbCritic stream and not only does he know his football, he's a ea game changer. He's not biased at all he keeps it all the way 100 about problems with the game, things they need to fix, etc. I'm liking what im seeing so far, deep zones "look" like they need to be fixed but haven't gotten my hands on the game yet so i'll hold off judging it until i get my copy next week.

I'm leaning towards not buying. I bought last year's impulsively and didn't end up playing much of it, and I'm not seeing enough big changes to make that different this year. There's definite improvements but the places where there aren't enough improvements are my biggest problems with the series, namely DL play and CPU QB play.

Buying, then selling after a few runs through Long Shot.

Curious. Why would you just not rent the game?

I liked last years madden and with the right sliders I'm not going to lie this new madden is awfully close to last year so I think that'll bum a lot of ppl out like it did me. I'm going to buy it for an NFL fix but I am disappointed which I thought I wouldn't be. Maybe after the hdr update or the one x comes out it'll change my perspective with new visuals

Not purchasing this year. Don't think Madden 18 looks bad, except concrete shoe QB's and zones looking kinda loose. However, being an offline CFM player, what reason do I have to purchase? I've downloaded updated rosters, made some of my own tweaks and am more than happy to play Madden 17 for another year. It plays really well with my slider set. Best Madden I've ever played and probably the most under-rated in my humble opinion.

Just don't feel like buying a new game, creating new playbooks, installing new game plans and getting sliders just right, only to have to deal with patches and tuners and the like.

If CFM, gameplay, gameplans and improved practice mode get some love next year, then I'm back on board. This year's edition clearly didn't target the hardcore football fan. I just hope the direction taken this year does not continue as such....

Well, there are things like actual linemen injuries, coaching adjustments, and gameplay improvements to consider.

I guess I'm buying like I always do. Its football and there's no other option. I played it on EA Access and it does have good visuals. The commentary is ok like last year, but the running animations, camera angles, rag dog physics, I'm tired of seeing.

I guess I'm like a Browns fan, you get so excited for the new season...just to realize three games in, it's the same old .......

Cuz I can buy it for $30 and sell it for $50 when I'm done.

As an offline CFM player, I am not purchasing and really not even close to. I dabbled in online CFM but XP is so un-immersive and unrealistic that I am just not drawn to it.

Definitely, loving the game so far and can't wait to have unlimited time with it. Bought it for both Xbox One and PS4 Pro.

                            I will buy. I mean it's 50 bucks not 5000.

Well worth the price and I want people to keep making sports games.

Re: After Playing EA Access (Or Watching Vids), Are You Buying, Not Sure or No

I'm not gonna lie, I am severely disappointed in the lack of attention that CFM received. Off ball injuries are cool and will surely help but to be fair, we should have had these years ago. It's not like you can actually see the o-linemen get injured, it's a dice roll that determines it. You just see the timeout and get no notice that someone is even out of the game. I'm glad it's there and it's better than nothing but it's hardly a new feature.

That being said, I am buying it. It's the only nfl game out and I am a huge football fan. I would have loved for something like axis football to be worth spending time on but at this point it's gonna need a couple more years of playing catch up or a significant amount of outside money to push it along.

Hopefully the criticism the game gets this year will motivate the higher ups to put cfm higher on the list of priorities but I doubt it. I am one of those people that thinks they are slowly going to phase cfm out.
