I'm buying now that I've spent some hours playing it. I know the zones need work but they're already much better than '17. And when you control crappy QBs they actually struggle (or at least I did controlling them). I never struggled with passing in Madden '17, even with controlling 70-something rated QBs.

Hopefully it's the opposite this year. And gets better. With sim mode separated from competitive? Hopefully

Lol. I played MUT last year for the first time. And, it's hard to judge absolute prices of things because I think things change during the season. But, from what I recall, an elite Deion 93-95 OVR would run around 300,000 coins. Yes, 300,000. Or, was it 3,000,000? Lol.

It's $9.99 for 2500 contracts ($8.99 if you have EA Access) and $9.99 for a 7-squad pack (also $8.99 if you have EA Access). So that's basically $20 right there.
Then there's the Elite GOAT player, and I don't know how you put a value on that (I'm sure someone could figure it out but I'm a MUT newbie). I'm guessing $5 to $10 dollars worth of coins or points?
Then there's 3 day early access...ok if a month of EA Access can be had for $2.50 on an annual subscription, then the monetary value of early access is negligible at best and not worth mentioning unless you want to divide $2.50 by 30 calendar days.
Then there's the MUT uniform pack...but I can't imagine that carries any real monetary value. I played Madden 17 MUT for about 2 hours and got an extra uniform for free just clicking buttons in the first 15 minutes.
So at the MOST the extra content in GOAT edition is worth $30. And the cover of the Madden box on the GOAT edition says "includes $50 in additional content." Well, that appears to be false advertising based on my breakdown above. And based on all of that, I'll pass on the GOAT.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

14/18, 250+ yards, 3 TDs. I kept changing sliders but my receivers were constantly getting separation or just wide open. Even changed game soeed and threshold. Hopefully I'm missing something simple in the settings and hopefully the patch tightens things up.Comment

I figured out the answer to my original question:

Re: After Playing EA Access (Or Watching Vids), Are You Buying, Not Sure or No
I'm passing this year and any future edition that doesn't fix the sideline presentation. The players waiting/watching on the bench/sidelines to look the part (appropriate player likeness, name on the back of the jerseys, moving/staying warmed up, etc.). Cheerleaders, media, coaches, cameramem, etc.
I do not dislike the gameplay and appreciate the effort the developer have made to improve the offensive/defensive side of the ball. It's just that it seems no matter what they add or polish, it always feels like Madden (I hope this makes sense).Comment

Yep buying it...
graphics are great game play is fun as hell MUT is fun, arcade mode is a nice switch up and FUN for playing alone or with friends and sim mode with franchise are also well done if you are not obsessed with reading stat lines
Edit, played EA AccessComment

If you are a MUT player it is still a good deal. Out of all of those incentives all I really wanted upfornt was the Deion Sanders card, but I'm willing to grind for it if the mode is FUN.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"
