I thought Sim kicking was meant to be harder. Still automatic

I still have not missed a field goal or extra point. This is with accuracy at 35. The issue is that the sweet spot is still way too big and the meter runs too slow on all pro. Hopefully they'll tune sim kicking to be tougher. I mean, that was part of the point of adding different game styles. Thought?

I think they made it easier to account for online lag last year.

They did but that shouldn't be the case this year being that they can tune each of the 3 game styles separately. Sweet spot should of been decreased before release

I don't believe there is such a thing as sim mode user controlled kicking. It's an oxymoron because no mechanism will be free from becoming easy after enough repetition. The only way to do sim kicking is an option for the CPU to take kicks for you.

Who is your kicker? What is his accuracy? Have you tried this with a bum kicker? Just curious what factors come into play or if its just an overall bigger meter for everyone.

They need a real fg% option like the NBA 2K series.

Kick success determined by ratings, distance, wind, clutch, etc.

Why they don’t give that option on Sim mode is beyond me

A lot of people play sim cfm online so it's not a sim mode issue. As nza said kicking is about muscle memory and the more you do it the better you get. There are a couple ways to fix it. You can make it based on real life percentage as gosens6 said or you can make the accuracy slider adjust the size of the sweet spot. Either way madden franchise is like a third world country. The first world games and modes keep stealing all the resources leaving us begging in the streets.

So how lame is it that the meter disappears completely on the downswing when you're kicking a huge FG?

                  Spot on.

Kicking out of the box on 17 was glorious....then the little babies online started whining and crying....waaaaaaah wahhhhhhh it’s too hard.

Adapt and adjust. I was able to online.....but no.

I thought for sure on “simulation” mode we would get that back.

But that proves “simulation mode” is semantics for the most part.

Real FG% is a must!!!! Give us the option. Have the dice roll tied to ratings first and foremost if you choose that option. Less room for error on the meter.

Beyond me why we have never gotten that.

yup exactly the CPU never misses a FG. I rarely miss one unless its like from 56 yds out. its a unfair advantage to the CPU since I seen Mcmanus hit from 58 with room to make it from 60. I know it happens occasionaly in real life but not everytime they kick it from there.

Yep out of the box 17 was really good then the patch took it away. I have resorted to not aiming pre kick and having to stop the meter either left or right of the center to get some realism. It actually makes it very difficult when you drop accuracy From 50

The way it was in the PS2 days was perfect, just make it like that again on sim mode.

Why don't they just have the size of the sweet spot correlate to the kicker's FGA rating? Guys with high 90 ratings would have a large sweet spot, while guys with low 80's or below would have a much smaller sweet spot.

Or maybe have it tied to meter speed. Slower meter speed for high FGA and faster meter speed for lower FGA.

Either of these would make sense. Having a low/high Kick Accuracy rating has to mean something. There is no reason to upgrade those traits because accuracy means nothing. It has to mean something and has to be reflected in the meter in someway.
