Re: We need to talk about Player Models
While I agree that this may be the case, player modeling may just be poorly designed as well. Sometimes a problem can have more than one simple cause. Still an early build so hopefully it can be corrected before game is completed.Comment

Re: We need to talk about Player Models
The fact that it is systemic and not random tells me it’s probably not just a random bug. It could be, but I find it far likelier it’s either a modeling mistake or a modeling decision made because of a collision detection bug. Which means it’s only tangentially related to a bug.Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Re: We need to talk about Player Models
Maybe, but heres a pic from 18 that I photoshopped with the real Ameer Abdullah vs. the Madden one. The shrunken head issue made it into 18, that issue isn’t new. This was the "final build" btw.

Re: We need to talk about Player Models
I highly doubt this will be a issue. They said they can fix and tweak player builds on the fly year round now.
I'm in the camp that heads are little because shoulder pads are too big. However I am in the camp they need to re do shoulder pads from scratch.
Example you notice how they switched to the Nike knee&thigh pads? Well they need to redesign shoulder pads as a whole. Now a days guys are wearing pads that embody : lighter, breathable, ensures range of motion, as little shell as possible.
Madden still gives players the 90s and early 2000s shoulder pads meanwhile : Helmets, gloves , leg pads & cleats are all up to modern day.
To me it's plain to see about every Madden player needs half the shoulder padding that they actually have.
I see this issue as something that will be fixed and if it were to look, like that I think its bigger build players when they put their arms up

Re: We need to talk about Player Models
Even if it hasn't been fixed or won't be fixed, there will just be some funny looking player models that won't affect my enjoyment of the game at all.
Games used to come out and you either had fun or not. Everyone wants everything patched all the time because they seem to not know how to enjoy imperfect things.
But judging from UFC 3, it seems like anything can be patched in now. I'm actually kind of amazed at what patches can do lately.Comment
