I have played madden for a long time over 20 years in fact.

Anyways not claiming to be the madden best player ir tournament worthy, but I have done rosters and sliders/settings for years as well.

I know how Madden works as far as settings and sliders go and I dont play rank matches or Play Now all my games are played and tested inside CFM only.

I really didnt have issues with how the game played from MADDEN 17, 18 and 19 with my own setup my sliders fixed coverage it was realistic and tough. Even had penalties at a realistic rate as I play on 15 mins and 15 runoff.

Anyways during the trial EA access I liked the pass rush, pass coverage then, but I can tell all of you right now on 8/02/19 thats pass coverage is broke.

I have tried parity scale adjusting, several variations of sliders like pass coverage from 65, 85 and even 100 doesnt tighten it up at all.

Parity scale from 25 , 45, 85 and even 100 does nothing to close the gap. Pass reaction as well adjusted it. The thing with pass reaction this year lower u go the harder it is to run, but dies nothing for pass coverage.

So I thought what can I do now to close the time a QB has to maybe stip some of the at ease passing going on now?

Well since pass rush disappeared for me since trial games I decided drop pash block at first to 15 then it got a lil better, so tried 0 and again helps but still u complete passes at ease blocking holding up at 0?

Keep in mind ive tested default all pro and default all madden and pass coverage on both was easy WR coming down eith ball eith 3 defenders right there, u even see players LB, SS etc standing and not going for ball now.

So trying to adjust sliders as i always do with my usual numbers abd no matter what u try nothings going to fix the current issues with pass coverage, pass rush and players looking lost.

I actually got some zone coverage improvement with adjusting reaction time. Guys were closer to the ball when it was caught then prior to the adjustment, sometimes making a play on it before the ball got there. Coincidence? Maybe.



Run defense, however, probably got a bit too good.

Gotta user that up fam. I been playing Madden since 2002 with Culpepper on the cover...I ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS usered the RE...this year I've been playing MLB or Slot CB because the CPU can't handle it.

Go back and look. It was 4thqtrs smart alec comment that started this entire sidetrack. Originally this guy had said he would like examples of the good coverage but understands if 4thqtr didn't have time to make videos. The post seemed reasonable, only to have 4thqtr come back with a smart alec, stupid comment about free work.

Look, mine was an adult comment. He clearly said in his post that he very much understands if you don't have time to make videos, just like he doesn't have time to make videos.

I’ve been checking Twitter to see what the developers are responding to. I don’t see any mention or response from Clint to pass coverage criticism. I know there are a few people who’ve shared videos here and from my online league.

Quarters isn’t following the rules that were published by Anthony White last year. Cover 3 match is a hot mess against trips. Off-Man is just unplayable.

I’m really nervous that this may not get fixed. It’s a HUGE blemish in an other wise fun game.

I’ve yet to find any way to make pass coverage functional against the CPU. It’s driving me insane. Like you said, game seems to really have a lot of potential.

I think this is a bit hyperbolic....I just played the bears and shut them down 27-6 on all pro difficulty with sliders slightly tilted FOR the cpu and Intercepted Trubisky 3 times. He only passed for 200 yards as well.

I do agree that pass coverage needs to be improved, especially the running the wrong way part, but as a human player, you should still dominate a weak cpu passing offense with a good rated defensive team and vice versa. Eagles defense are pretty good, but not anywhere near elite.

If I were to guesstimate, maybe from 10 completions, one is a result due to bad coverage mechanics. A game on average has 20 completions per team....so 4 “broken” completions per game for both teams is not overly critical.

Go to practice mode....pick the play which you can recreate this ( a play where TE runs a short in route) set the Cpu on random and see how many times you can take advantage of this play. I actually did this and can pretty much gauge how often it would occur in game.

My post wasn't misinformation. Go back and look. In his post responding to you, he does clearly state that he very much understands if you don't have time to make videos. So he wasn't demanding that you make them.

Like I mentioned to roadman, it was my first time going through the thread and I wasn't looking at posts dates.

Him/her being banned has no bearing on what your response was to him.
