Just because you guys don't know how to respect people with views that don't align with yours doesn't mean i don't. I clearly do. I've said it repeatedly. I've shown it for the past 6 years that I've been on this site. I don't appreciate being ganged up on just because i don't share the same viewpoint that you guys have. It's a bit of a joke. OS used to be better than to allow this type of mess and for the mods to be the ones doing it is just ridiculous to be honest.

First let me start by saying that I haven't played Madden in close to 10 years as I just had too many issues with it and couldn't enjoy it. Most of the info I get on happenings in Madden come from people I follow on Twitter.

Now then, I think the issue here stems from the fact that your initial post links only to a promo/teaser tweet and gives no details about what the 'SpongeBob is Madden' actually entails (as at the time no details may have been known). Skimming through this thread, I still don't fully understand what this entails. The rest of your original post is nothing but expressing your exasperation as to the path the game has taken. Regardless of your later posts in the thread, this original post has set the tone for the thread and comes off as you bashing something without really knowing any details about it.

Dude if you don't understand how disrespectful and hostile your own posting is don't go pointing the finger at others.

How is it disrespectful and hostile to have a different opinion than other people? I get that my OP is direct about my feelings, but never in here did i disrespect other people for feeling differently about this than me. I shared my thoughts and multiple times I've sympathized with people who feel differently than me. Seeing that dude say that his son is excited about this helped me to understand the other viewpoint a lot and I made a point about that.

My issue here is that I'm not being respected for my view. I'm being told to pack up and be quiet because I am not all about this. I've also been told that I'm apparently lying when I say that I understand people who disagree with me. I've been told that I'm lying when I say I'm excited for that kid and other kids that are excited for this.

This is a forum where we share different opinions and usually that is respected. I'm not sure why it hasn't been here by you guys and I'm not sure why everyone is coming at me when I've been nothing but civil. Just because you have a different opinion that someone else doesn't mean you have the right to be super rude to someone.

If anyone wants an axe to grind about this....I suggest that they grind it with the NFL.

They're the ones doing this tie-in with Nick and EA, as a partner, is following suit (and may even be contractually obligated to do so - though we will never know this).

At the end of the day; the "real" playoff game broadcast will be unaffected, the core Madden modes (CFM/MUT) are unaffected. This is a purely optional approach that may (or may not) work in enticing new viewers/players to check things out.

As for "resource" complaints, that dog don't hunt. Madden's team for The Yard continues pushing out content and this is no different. No one can convince me that EA suddenly diverted CFM/gameplay programmers to work on a new stadium for this promo. Sure, we all understand frustration with the series as a whole, but post-launch content like this isn't going to move the needle significantly in terms of impacting EA's ability to continue improving core areas of the game.

Thank you! He does this over and over again. Usually when a patch is released. I will never understand the folks who purchase a game every year that they obviously hate.

How funny, accusing people of having an agenda when you clearly have an agenda of your own as well. Except I do not see any of the utter arrogance in any of his posts with which YOU literally, and repeatedly, spit at people who dare to criticize the game.

Ah, and you either are plain wrong, or blatantly lie, about him doing this over and over again. I do not know how fascinated you are with following his posts, or generally posters who might mostly have not-so-favorable views on this game, especially compared to yours, but he used to like M21 pretty much early on, and fwiw, his experience with the game at the time have significantly helped convince me to buy the game, for example.

He's one of many who liked the game early on and now don't. You are one of many who still like it no matter what. You both have your reasons. So ******* what? How is his opinion less valuable then yours?

Road my man I agree with you and you know I respect your opinion. But this thread just follows the trend that's been harped on for years. Take note of the people that find a need to come on a thread they obviously disagree with and start lobbing statements to the OP. Its the same people same pos6ters without directing it to any particular Mods or posters but its a constant that have to chime in. The thing I don't get is Philly actually is level headed and has been constructive in his views and in actuality his response to others. He strikes me as having a passion for Madden but is frustrated which is true of a large segment of posters here.
But what's the point of even entering a thread that they might obviously disagree with to keep on making points to the OP. The nature of the thread was fine no angry tones etc. but wallah here we go lets derail the thread in an guaranteed attempt to get it closed. Again I respect everyone's opinions an all the Mods but cmon man the little remarks become big remarks and it gets a thread shut. Again everyone who disgrees with a component of Madden is not a EA *****, everyone who likes Madden is not an EA apologists but the extreme few have a personal attachment that I could not fanthom for grown men. You’re complaining about the Madden development priorities/marketing cycle, but they’re literally attacking you personally. And mods can’t show enough restraint not to, literally violating their own TOS? Cmon guys. We all know the standard (somewhat justified) Madden whine-thread. 1. Anyone can start a thread. If you're going to complain, make sure it's at least an accurate complaint.

2. We have rules just like any forum lol. As long as rules are followed, threads are allowed.

Or maybe - just maybe - it has something to do with a the NFL simulcasting a Wild Card game on Nickelodeon this weekend and wanting to tie things together. I can’t imagine Nickelodeon viewers caring about video games, though. I mean, that just wouldn’t even make sense.

I don’t see how it’s an invalid complaint. People want the RIDICULOUSLY long list of gameplay issues that have gone untouched for years addressed instead of having Giannis, Snoop Dogg, and Spongebob introduced to the game. I'm not complaining. Just commenting how they clearly jumped the shark. It's quite obvious they're hurting by the pandemic and need to make as much money as possible even if they have to make cartoony graphics to entice kids.
