Zero or 1. Bought the upgraded ps5 version last year after passing on 19 and 20 and it just collected dust after a few games. Knowing there’s a new football game in development, even if it’s arcade and also a college football game coming back I’ll pass on madden this year.

I forgot to include the pc version along with the ps4 and xbox 1 versions. They're all getting screwed this year. Just trying to force everyone to buy next gen, especially when the new ncaa game comes out. Not everyone can afford to buy those.

The next gen systems? Because the game themselves are like two weeks of making sandwiches instead of going to McDonalds, or one week of making sandwiches instead of eating at a slightly more expensive place.

Ehh I’ll get it when I get it. I do this for all games, no longer need to buy day one anymore. I wait for reviews and usually buy games on the first good sale I see. By then patches are out too so no hurry for me.

My hype level is moderate. Happy they're adding coaching staffs, but a little underwhelmed at how they're fleshed out (for the most part, they're just shuffling names with traits you can buy from a pool of XP points that's shared across your entire staff). Everything else in Franchise was hard to judge because the beta was so bugged.

I'll buy it, and I'm happy they're putting work into the mode. I do want more, though.

Pretty low for me. I don't have time or the desire to spend hours in franchise management so the bare bones franchise that was in 21 was sufficient for me right now. The game play has to be significantly better to get me to bite but I don't trust that they won't wreck any game play improvements with patches. Visually it appears to be very similar to 21 so that does not really make me want to upgrade either.



I am pretty happy with 21NG and I know they won't patch anything else to break it at this point so I may just keep going with that this year and check out nba2k or nhl for a sports fix in the fall.

I want a good NFL game again but its just be years and years of getting a bad/ok game that I just don't trust them. Maybe with 2k trying to come back things will get better has I think had 2k never went away that madden would be much much better. I have bought most madden games but have skipped the last like 3 years or so and I was just getting tired of getting the game and after like a month or so not playing it because there was to many gameplay problems and felling like I wasted 60 for basically nothing.

This is how I pretty much feel. I use to love this franchise, but the last few years has been bad imo.

I wish they would get new commentary because those same guys each year are making the game sound boring, imo. And put the refs back on the field and sideline collisions, without those little things the game doesn’t feel organic enough for me.

Well not much hype at all since EA won't show last gen gameplay and screenshots. I will still buy Madden even if they don't show it. But it would be nice to see something please.

I’m not hyped, but I am relieved. I didn’t think they would overhaul franchise mode to this standard in one cycle. We still have a couple of updates left to see what else they’re adding. Tiburon is acting like they have some competition, they stepped up from their normal effort level. Glad to see it, I will go back to buying Madden but not until the game is updated. I think M22 can be a significant step up around November, on next gen. It sucks it has taken this long, but it’ll be nice to have some depth and immersion added to the game.

My hype level is maxed out. I've got the Dynasty Edition already digitally preordered as of yesterday for my PS5. I'm even hoping to get a little release day thing going with my brothers & friends to celebrate. Can't wait. 🤓

Hype level is at 0. I'm patiently waiting to see if EA College Football tries to do something different in a couple years. I just hope I'm not setting myself up for more disappointment. M18 is the only Madden I've purchased in the last decade and it looks like that will continue for at least another year. I just don't really enjoy the gameplay on the field, and I don't see enough improvements in franchise mode to have a really deep/fun experience off the field. My 2 cents, for whatever it's worth.

CFB 24 is not going to be drastically different from Madden. It will be built from the same foundation with a gameplay tuned for the college game like it always was in the past. I wouldn't expect any more than that or else you'll likely end up disappointed. It will likely have a good dynasty mode and good atmosphere and college feel to it, but on the field it will still feel like EA football and Madden.

It's moderate this year. Maybe 5/10. As a franchise only player, I really appreciate that they are giving it an overhaul. But my guess is they swing and miss on a few different things this year and we really don't see a better franchise mode until '23.
