think I might just wait for the new scouting system before fully committing to playing the games but I’m really itching to get on it right now without waiting for a new patch.

If you're itching, DO IT. What if the new scouting system is busted (or terrible), and you don't have a franchise you can go back to with the old system? You'll be kicking yourself for waiting.

Exactly why I’m going to start one now or start one right before the scouting update and just keep it so I have one with current scouting just in case.

Honestly with EA's track record I'm thinking this won't be working correctly until next yrs release. I'm enjoying the gameplay & think this is the best Madden (next gen) in a long time. Just not going to wait on EA for anything new feature related.

What's the version # for this patch on the Xbox X/S? I see no indication a patch downloaded nor is one waiting in my que. There are other patches in there so I am no sure why this one would download in the background and the others didn't.

I actually think this is great advice.

I am going to set up a master 32 team Control Franchise file and a Master Single Team Control Franchise (hoping they truly fix progressive fatigue cou logic) both ready to go preseason week 1 with the opening week 53 Man Roster.

If the scouting update flops we have these as back ups.

Nothing wrong with being proactive because this is truly a great game this year on the field.

And the waiting is on you. I’ve been vocal about my distaste for some of the issues this year, but this isn’t one.

They were upfront with us about the scouting update not being ready yet so that is on you.

I for one am quite pleased I've waited to buy the game, and will continue to do so until that patch is released. Unlike some of you, I'll never experience the frustration of completing a game and then the final score saying I was shut out.

Not taking it out on you man….sorry.

It is just we all knew it was not coming till mid or late September at the earliest. And we have so many who find the need to sit and moan and groan.

Game is playable. And you could start a “test” franchise and have some fun playing as different teams you would never normally play as, test out things, try new playbooks, get used to the new momentum meter. Al lot things to enjoy while we wait.

I always looked at this forum as a place to gather and help each other enjoy sports games.

It still has those qualities but has also spiraled into a massive customer complaint department.

I agree we all should point out shortcomings, talk about how developers can improve their games etc.

But the manner of how some posters go about it has become exhausting.

That’s all.

So sorry for having a moment and it seemed like it was at your expense…know that it was not.

When he complained about MLB he made valid points and was never disrespectful. The majority of complaints on this board at the moment aren't even valid and when they are, the majority are in a disrespectful manner.

It isn't the same thing at all. A&S simply said Franchise wasn't getting the love in The Show, which is 100% true, and said the removal of Y2Y saves was blasphemous, again true. He didn't go onto those boards and call SDS a bunch of lazy devs that spend their days lying to the consumers and doing anything but work on the game.

There is plenty to complain about with Madden, but there are ways to express disappointment the right way and there are ways to do it the wrong way. Madden and NBA 2k tend to bring out the people that love doing it the wrong way.

Wow I had just one issue with this game that is making it really hard to play and that is my RB (Christian McCaffery) is just disappearing every game around quarter 3. Its pretty hard to win games when your 99 player just doesn't play anymore. I woke up this morning and saw this patch, was super excited! Played my first game. He vanished again, Went back to read the patch notes. Seems they only fixed the issue on Next Gen. WTF It can't be that hard of a fix. Or at least make PC next gen, i'll pay extra damnit

This ^^^. I have just the Xbox One S (last gen) and I'm downloading and reinstalling the game because I couldn't get an update prompt. Which sucks because the only thing I really wanted was the auto loss fix and I would be fine. I tried clearing data, restarting Xbox and internet, going into manage games and apps and checking there and couldn't get an update prompt its ridiculous.
