They fixed my biggest gripe, FATIGUE.

After watching Bengals video, I'm a little disappointed in the scouting. I know it's new, but after the first round he was basically picking blind. NFL teams don't have 40% of a guy scouted, even in the later rounds. Hope someone develops a better scouting strategy, and I bet it comes down to constantly hiring, and firing scouts.

While yes it will suck kind of blindly drafting, it’ll balance one user CFMs from drafting the studs each time

One solution would be give only tangibles of the less scouted players, but show their collegiate stats so you could make a better decision based on stats

Wish they would patch the option to take the home filed advantage text off the bottom of the screen they literally show it at the top of the screen and then have a paragraph of text at the bottom of the screen until the ball is hiked just kills the immersion for me.

I THINK this is because of how he focused on regions/players? It looks like he focused his scouts on the appropriate regions where the 1st Rounders for various positions were located. Which is great, but that means later round players outside the focus region don't get properly scouted.

Hoping there is a way to balance this strategically through later rounds. For example, if you want a CB in the 1st or 2nd, focus on the region that has those top tier players. But if you're thinking WR in the 3rd or 4th, focus on the region that has THOSE level players - not the region with the highest rated WRs (since they'll be gone). And then gap-fill with the 6 player "visits" or "focuses" you get - rather than getting 100% on a player, use those to get 6 players who are at 40%, but look intriguing, to 80%.

I do like that we have rough approximations of the player's athletic profile right away - THAT is a huge change and very realistic. We may not know the nuances of a player, but it's pretty clear to everyone (based on tape) who are rare athletes and who are not, way before the Combine comes into play.

I agree to an extent. NFL picks busts even when they have thoroughly scouted players. I’d prefer if they gave ranges for skills. Accurate info for physical attributes, but stuff like coverage ability will start like A to C and with more scouting can get narrowed down to B+ to B. So even with minimal scouting we have some info, but there’s rarely a player that is a sure thing.

I agree to an extent. NFL picks busts even when they have thoroughly scouted players. I’d prefer if they gave ranges for skills. Accurate info for physical attributes, but stuff like coverage ability will start like A to C and with more scouting can get narrowed down to B+ to B. So even with minimal scouting we have some info, but there’s rarely a player that is a sure thing.

I agree 100% - we should have a starting range for a skill, that gets narrowed down with scouting over time, rather than being completely "blind" on anything.

I have been asking politely on twitter at least once a week for ages about getting in the Garcia/Owens era 49ers uniforms...I about jumped out of my chair to see these have been added!!! This is incredible! The 80's always were long-needed as well!

The 1994 aways are fine...you could make them yourself with mix & matching, except for the NFL 75 patch. But damn, this is exciting!

Now I just have to hope they got the gold color right...it's different from the regular gold.

Oh, and scouting is here too [emoji13] very exciting day!

For the last 4 or 5 madden's I have always used the 80's Helmets, the 80's Fat Striped pants and the 80's socks along with the default Uniforms as my main look. I just loved the striped socks and the fat striped with the different shade of gold pants. I'm interested to see how the 80's away unis look and if they are nice I might just go full 80's as my main look.

It will also be nice being able to get 98 look and in a way by using the 94 pants you can get the 96-97 look as well with them.

I still don't love how little you know about key traits. In Bengal's video, even for the QBs he had 80% scouted, he only really knew about 1 of the accuracy ratings and in the end despite the position being his all-in focus, he only got one of the QBs to 100%.

This seems like a lot of effort to go through to learn... not all that much more than we had under the old system (I do like that we know traits, but only a handful of them have ever really had a noticeable impact for me). He had a WR at almost 60% scouted and unlocked literally zero of that WR's key traits. He had a linebacker at 99% completion but didn't know his tackle rating.

This to me feels a lot like the coaching staff addition. It's technically the thing we asked for, but the execution feels really off. I won't really know till I get a chance to play around with it myself. I don't like being a naysayer, but this does feel disappointing given how much I felt like I was going to love this update and how long we waited for it.

Hahaha I was just talking to a buddy about creating the 96-97's by mixing and matching, great minds think alike! And I've done the same with my away uniforms for a few years, with mixing and matching, but the eyesore (to me) is the word '49ers' under the collar...the 80's away uniforms didn't have that, but options on Madden were limited. I'm curious if it'll be early 80's where the red numbers were a bit darker than later 80's, or if it'll be the latter. And I'm sure they'll have the correct sleeve stripes on them.

The 80's look is my favorite look for the 49ers, so I'm very glad to have both home and away finally. The 98-08 uniform era was a decade worth forgetting, but the 1998 season still had some very memorable moments so I've been wanting those back for some time. It'll be fun to bust them out for "special occasions" in my little NFL universe.

AND Aiyuk, Kinlaw, Sermon and Lance all look GREAT with the new facescans. I fired up Madden for just a second to check them out (working) - forgot all about the new uniforms or I would have checked them too.

Responding to earlier posts, I always tended to mix in the black pants from time to time as a change-up.
