Not many comments on the gameplay... Clearly things have been heavily polished on that end. Played a game earlier and movement was MUCH more fluid and animations were MUCH less janky than they had been.

Am very impressed so far with gameplay, not sure about scouting though as I started on wk 5 (haven't done anything yet)

Anyone noticed that when you sign every player as a free agent it says "Are you sure you want to sign..." but when you sign Crapernick it says "Congratulations! You are about to sign Crapernick to the roster!" ...such a joke. Gruden will be removed before midnight so EA can stay woke.

The presence of Colin Kaepernick in Madden NFL 22 has nothing to do with Jon Gruden getting fired as a consequence of repeatedly over a period of years sending racist, sexist, homophobic, and transphobic content in emails.

More importantly, neither Jon Gruden nor Colin Kaepernick has anything to do with the Madden NFL 22 scouting update. Keep both of their names out of this thread from here forward, please and thank you.

Not even close. This is a football sim... Last year they fixed it so a team that drafted a QB the year before won't draft one the following season and that's how it needs to be. Overall shouldn't be the only thing they look at. Age and potential need to be a factor. This is ridiculous.

Last year they SAID they fixed it. I have never seen real evidence that shows they did fix it - either in M21 at the end of the year or in M22. AI draft logic seems just as bad as it was before they claimed to fix it.

Can anybody tell me if we can still import downloaded draft classes?

Can you still edit the draft class if you want?

Is there an option to turn off the new scouting incase you can't do those things?

If these have been answered, my bad.

Pause your download…..you can’t use the old scouting once you DL the patch.

Create a offline franchise as a back up file in case you don’t like it.

Yes you DL and edit draft classes as well as edit EA generated classes.

My existing Franchise is still crashing when I go to exit the "franchise mode" back to the main Madden Menu. It kicks me to the PS5 interface saying an error occurred and do I want to send report to Sony. I always say yes. This has happened dozens of time prior to the patch. It happened the first time after the patch. I'm "OK" with it as I always save before I exit so I can at least get back into my franchise. I thought for sure this would have been fixed but alas it has not.

Do you know if they were both injured? When Burrow was injuried in 21 the bengals would draft a qb first round.

It's frustrating to not be able to do an offline CFM because of this type of stuff. The top 3 Qbs throw for under 4K yards and top 3 WRs are less than 1200 yards. IRL Brady is on pace for 6K yards and Davante Adams is on pace for nearly 2K yds. Simple stuff like this that they talked in all the podcasts about how they worked so hard to get tuning right blah blah blah is just annoying. So much of what they have claimed to fix over the past year is just not even close to being true.

It was "fixed" last year. There is a thread where people were going through drafts to test it out. However, a new problem came out which was, top QB prospects with top overalls were falling to the teens/20s because all of the teams that were losing had young QBs that were just drafted or high rated QBs.

Just a heads up for when you get to the week (week 11, I believe) where you select the three players you want to get the most info on - you better know who you are selecting BEFORE opening the prompt to select the players!

If you don't know who you are going to select after you go into that prompt and want to go back and look at more info on each player, you have no way to enter the menu of selecting the three players again.

Just an FYI.....

Same thing with the private workouts in the Offseason. Know your players & know your draft position before clicking on those prompts.
