Is Madden 22 the only version still being updated? I have madden 19 and 20 on pc but was wondering if the 60 dollars for 22 is worth it.
If you're able to, switching to Madden on PC is your best bet.

Madden 22 on PC is less than $1 on any key site due to the game being free on Amazon prime.
Feel free to join the discord and DM if you need the game; I have my key I never used from Amazon.Comment

Pretty sure Madden 23 on PC isn't "next-gen" though.Comment

I wouldn’t recommend buying M23 on PC but there is enough reason for most wanting to play football games to stick with Madden 22 PC. It’s gameplay and franchise mode exceed any console version.
Unfortunate PC couldn’t just get the next gen version.Comment

Wow. I should’ve did my research before bumping this. I ASSUMED PC would be getting Next-Gen the 2nd year in.. what’s the hold up EA!?Comment

Yeah, I moved away from PC to Xbox Series S so I could finally play the next gen version. I doubt PC gets next gen until 2024.
And honestly, I tried to do the mods for Madden 22 on PC. It was just cumbersome overall, especially with some of the settings needed, turn this on, do this thing, turn this off. Then if EA patches Madden, all the mods break until they're patched.
It wasn't something I wanted to deal with when I play. I don't want to spend 1/2 my time in Madden managing settings and mods.Last edited by Broncos86; 06-07-2022, 03:06 PM.Comment

I ran into the same scenario. Used to be more into loading games with mods, but now I just want hop in, play a game and get off. Not worry about my load order, or which mods caused a crash this time etc. lol
I tried 22 with mods, but the lack of the next gen movement just kills it overall.Comment

Re: If you're able to, switching to Madden on PC is your best bet.
Is it because of MUT or whatever? NBA2k is treating the PC version the same way. Keeping the next gen stuff for the consoles. They see that PC players don't spend money on MUT and 2k's version of it. So why put effort on the PC version.Comment

Re: If you're able to, switching to Madden on PC is your best bet.
It is likely because the PC crowd is extremely small. There's only thousands of us that ply it regularly on PC. That obviously leads to MUT revenue being minimal on the platform also, so that probably has some to do with it, but I imagine the poor PC sales simply make it to where EA doesn't see it worth the resources to update the PC version to match the latest consoles. It's unfortunate because Madden is an easy game to run and many of us do have PC's that blow any console out of the water, but the unfortunate reality is that we're just a very small piece of the pie. We're really like a crumb off of the pie, not even a piece at all.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

You literally download the mod manager, select Madden 22 game, download mods which are zip files usually. Unzip, and click import and launch game.
Not sure how it could be any easier. You don’t turn this on, that on… you click the mods you want activated and launch. I bring this up because these posts scare others into thinking it’s so hard, when it’s quite the opposite.
Hell.. my franchise tool does most of the work for you on the bigger progression front.
As far as patches breaking them, they literally get updated within a day if not the same day 98% of the time. I know this because I own the madden modding discord and we are very proactive on keeping everything up to date. Also the point is misleading.. it only requires mods with legacy file edits to need updated, otherwise the mods works fine with any update.
Now with all that said, I hope you don’t take it as an attack on you.. I would love for you to reach out and let us help you since it sounds like you either a) are taking a long approach to modding the game or b) do not fully understand what you need to do. Would love to show you how easy it really is.Last edited by TheBleedingRed21; 06-08-2022, 09:34 PM.Comment

Sorry man but this is a bad take in my opinion.. here’s why:

Okay, I'm told I need to download... the FIFA Mod Manager? Why am I downloading that, I'm trying to mod Madden, not FIFA. So I guess I do that and now I'm launching the game through the mod manager now instead of Steam. Okay.
Well heck, I want to check the Sabo Franchise Mod because people told me that's pretty slick. Oh, Discord post on 5/26/2022 says the mod is outdated and I can't use it, so I have to use the Sinthros Start Today mod instead. Uh, okay.
So let's check out the Sinthros Start Today mod. What's this "Progression Tool?" I'm supposed to be running some progression tool externally to get this working correctly or as expected? And I have to EXIT franchise mode to do it?
I'm sorry but

Then you see a note like this in the Sabo Gameplay Mod notes:
IT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE QB BEHAVIOR/ZONE SPOT DROP EDITS. YOU HAVE TO PUT THE 1.4 GPMOD IN THE MM ALONG WITH YOUR NEWLY CREATED MOD FILE IF YOU DECIDE TO EDIT THINGS. JUST MAKE SURE YOUR EDITED VERSION OF THE GP MOD HAS HIGHER PRIORITYComment

Re: If you're able to, switching to Madden on PC is your best bet.
Well, let's take a look. I want to get these mods going, so I roll over to the Madden Modding Community on Discord. I'm greeted with steps to take.
Okay, I'm told I need to download... the FIFA Mod Manager? Why am I downloading that, I'm trying to mod Madden, not FIFA. So I guess I do that and now I'm launching the game through the mod manager now instead of Steam. Okay.

Is not accurate. And for a LOT of people, this stuff would become confusing as can be if they don't really have the technical prowess to put this all together.
Then you see a note like this in the Sabo Gameplay Mod notes:
And it's like "what?" Stuff is just all over the place and there is no way any typical Madden gamer is going to get into this discord and not feel either overwhelmed or just put off by everything that's going on.
However, I do not use all the mods myself and honestly if you aren't super concerned with perfectly accurate outcomes 6 seasons from now, you can just load a few very useful mods, have much better gameplay, better weather effects and just run a a franchise exactly like you do on the console for the most part. Once you are setup it's like one extra step.
But yeah...for diehards there are mods that require a few more steps, but if these things are important to you the few extra steps aren't that much. But if you want the ultimate experience it's worth it. To a casual gamer....probably not so.
Good Luck. I just wish Madden 23 on PC was next gen. That's the only thing keeping me from embracing PC 100%. Prior to Madden 21 Next Gen I was 100% PC all the time.Comment

We have thousands of others who navigate just fine, sorry it’s that’s hard for you with all the written instructions and even tutorial videos.
Wanted to give you benefit of the doubt with your first post, but that last one.. whew. That “woe is me” attitude definitely isn’t suited for PC gaming and mods. Your post comes off disrespectful to the community that works super hard to provide the luxury it does free of charge.Comment
