So I think I found one of my specific issues. I don't know if this is a reason why others are throwing too many picks or not.

But what I'm doing is throwing too many bullet passes. On outs or corners, instead of lob passes, I just throw a rocket and any defender nearby can just snag it. If I throw lob passes there is a much better chance the ball goes right over the defender.

Played as the Browns earlier and Watson (I know) only threw one pick and it was on me for sure. Also threw two TD. One over the shoulder to Cooper in the endzone.

Excellent point, didn't think of this.

Meter is touchy tho, which sucks. More games, more practice.

Still would like EA to fix the slider tho [emoji1745]

I had that same issue while trying to get my coordination right with the passing meter and moving the recticle. To be honest, passing got easier for me when I stopped using LT.

Yeah using LT is just too many things for me to be doing at once. I typically keep mine on "Placement" with the distance thing on "Far" to increase the chances that I can throw a good streak when I get a step on a CB after a bump.

Fair to say INTs are quickly ruining this game for me. It’s nothing to do with User input, I watch the games slow sim and I’m seeing a 1:3 ratio of TD’s to INTs which is just ridiculous. I love the game apart from that aspect. But fair to say that it’s tough to move on with this game until INTs are addressed.

Yeah I am so used to not switching to my DB/WR (house rule) but when I started making myself user, it was a bit more enjoyable.

Not gonna lie, the goods have been outweighing the bad for the most part. I’ve had games (only done play now) where I’d get absolutely killed, but then run it back and win on the second try.

The game is so far from perfect, but I’d be full of crap if I said i haven’t had the itch to get back to playing every day. I just wish the “bad” plays didn’t look REALLY bad like they do sometimes.

Working on pro level sliders that allow no switch to exist!!! Stay tuned. Been a wild 24 hours lol.

Pass trajectory must be hard to code. I don't even know how they can fix it. Jumping is apart of the game for swats etc, but ball trajectory is so low that 5 to 10 yards behind a db is trash. Can't slow down pass rush because timing is right, so maybe add it under the hood where qbs just know what type of arch to put on the ball instead of adding more buttons etc. Also prob not high on the priority list due to others not really caring much an just wanting to win madden ball.

The second one for sure does. He was in a backpedal, and then shot forward. He defied momentum if you ask me. He would have had to almost stop, body weight adjust forward, and then start a run forward.

Become Tom Brady my friend. Check down like there is no tomorrow. Sure, your completion percentage will be in the 80's, and you won't have a pass over 15 yards, but you are being safe with the ball.

Tried the precision passing for about an hour in practice mode, no defense. It seems to me it’s more useful on specific routes like comebacks, end zone fades rather than using it 100% of the time. I also changed it to near once I get in the red zone. Otherwise far seems to be the best for hacks like me for the rest of the field. I also slowed down the reticle movement to 0 from default 7. Still on the SERIES X TRIAL and honestly don’t see enough to warrant a full retail price purchase. I have gamepass ultimate which comes with ea play but paying the extra to upgrade to play pro not worth it from what I see. I know people are excited about the franchise changes but it’s still so shallow and not enough to do. They made UI and tuning updates but didn’t add anything to do. More of the same.

Touch and lob passes are your friends. Touch passes have a different length of hold this year, so they take a minute to get used to.

Touch passes need getting used to??? I am having the opposite problem. Almost every lob pass I try and throw turns in to a touch pass. You hold that button for less than a quarter of a second and you get no air under in. To each his own I guess

Or you could just simply go into coaching Options and change it to Aggressive catching.

That option has been there now for a few years and people still don't bother to touch it.

I'm pretty sure it's there for a reason but of course some guys will sit back and just go with the flow out of the box settings and then create a thread that WR's won't go get the bottom LOL

This is silly though. I shouldn’t have to go to coaching adjustments and make all my receivers do an aggressive catch. Say I do that and the main receiver I wanted to throw it to isn’t open, so now I hit the slant and he’s doing an aggressive catch instead of a RAC. The CPU receivers understand how to aggressive catch and all the other catches without needing a coaching adjustment on. My CPU controlled receivers should as well.

I didn’t have to do this like 2 years ago. The receiver would sometimes jump for the ball when situation called for it more times than not. It needs to be fixed. Makes playing solely as a QB damn near unplayable because lobs is just getting picked by DBs unless the ball can fall into the receivers lap.
