I just ran two quick franchise tests, and here are the results.
Online franchise
Head coach role
Head coach firing off
Default generated draft classes
Start with active roster in regular season
I simmed 10 years into the future before taking a look at the current coaching staffs. Nearly every team fired their original guy, but it's noticeable that a lot of those guys have HC jobs at other teams. My hunch is that helps the online mode avoid the full crash bug.
I entered the next draft, and did a bunch of trading down. Made my picks, simmed preseason, and then played week 1. Played meaning I picked to play the game, kicked off, and then supersimmed. Upon going back to the menu, everything was fine. NO draft rewind business.
So I guess everything was cool, but man I hate not being able to control as much as I want in the online league.

This was very different from what I had found in the online version. The encouraging news, is that I fired my OC and DC, and there were a ton of guys available in the coaching pool - a lot more than when you usually start a franchise. Maybe this is new, or maybe it was always this way (I've been out of Madden for like 5 years).
At the Super Bowl, I took control of one of the teams and played the game (kick off, then sim the rest). I did not experience any franchise corruption after the game, and moved into the offseason.
I did the draft, with trade downs and everything, and it went fine. Simmed to week 1, and again, everything was fine - no draft rewind glitch.Prototype Supreme

I might also take control of a few bottom teams at week 17 if I feel like they truly don’t deserve to be fired. I’d just “retire” the character once the offseason officially starts. I am pretty sure all the coach moves are during the playoffs and the week after the superbowl.Prototype Supreme

It’s gotta be offline for me. I need the ability to grab control of a team of they so something ridiculous like leave Herbert unsigned.

Anyone else having a Sack issue now omgggg ive been doing cpu vs cpu with the niners just for kicks..
I know their Oline stinks maybe thats it but im almost done with this game i cant deal with it,
we get sacked about 7-9 times a game, the AI been running alot of screen plays to the HB and the Oline is garbarge, they wont even chip the DL , the OL that pull, nope they just run right by the DL the QB drops back drops back and then bam just as he is getting hit then he trys to throw it to the HB but nope takes a sack, orrrrrr other times, the QB hangs on to the ball to long even tho wrs are open, and then trys to run away to the right or left and bam runs into the DE, there was one HB screen play, the LG didnt even try to chip the DT and the right guard got stuck, literally didn't move at all, didnt even come up outta his stance,
granted alot of the other stats seem real, but now im having a sack issue way to many and the QBs are stupid, another thing that kills me is when the WRS run like hook routes curl routes they stop and thats it.. then the QB has no one open to throw to and bam down he goes, there is hardly every any good timing throws, like throw it as the WR is coming back on the route, but nope, at least make the Damn WRS move around, after they stop their routes and stand there but no the AI is to dumb, idk this game im just im over it.. i had high hopes, im glad the INTs are better, and not as much, now its a sack issue, i mean ok if talent actually means something and ratings and thats why we give up more, cause the OL and Qbs are low 70s i get it.. but the logic still is lame.. the qbs wait wayyyyy to long to do anything, sometimes on some plays they will have some nice actual timed routes and good throws.. but then the ugly ones happen and it tears the whole game up, my qb got sacked in the endzone for safety cause the LG on a HB screen just let the DT go right in.. and does the qb throw the ball sooner or throw it away noooo, just back peddles till he is sacked..

If you’re mixing in cpu/cpu with hum/cpu, don’t skip cut scenes. in pure cpu/cpu mode, you see crazy stuff happen like lots of sacks, picks, long plays when you skip cut scenes. it gets real arcade with cpu/cpu when you slip the cut scenes. years of testing cpu/cpu.
try watching the cutscenes and see if it helps stabilize gameplay.Youtube channel

Played a couple of Play Now games vs the cpu on All Pro post patch. The game play is even better, pass blocking is better, run blocking is better, Id say run blocking is probably OP on All Pro or maybe its because I'm using Dallas.
I didn't notice any missed pass blocks, defenders push the offensive line into the backfield making the pocket tight, DBs go for the swat more, tackling seems better, but the very end of some tackle animations are jerky. More fumbles, they've tuned up fumbles which is good. Im very pleased with the gameplay. I will go ahead and begin my Offline Franchise now.
I really hope they overhaul presentation next year.
That is a slider IMO that needs a major tune up by EA because it's been that way for years now.

My O-Line is an average of 74 overall in my rebuild year, and on default sliders All-Madden they're getting pushed around like they're on ice skates.Comment

I just ranted about alot of sacks lately in Cpu vs Cpu, haha and how dumb my Oline are sometimes and my QB, the only cut scenes i skip is at the start of the game when im trying to get to kickoff faster... does that also count to by not skipping them ? cause i skip the opening ones to get to the kickoff then i fast foward to end of game on slow sim,For an alltime legends team on xbox, search usertag haughtypine7723

Not sure if the pass sliders, or the patch, or SOMETHING happened...
But...
Cooper? You okay buddy?
That's the AI... on All-Madden... default sliders except INTs for both are at 10, and I play Offense Only... so he simmed himself into that stat line. Against my 76 overall defense.
He's only a 71 overall, but still.Comment

I played 3 games last night and with the CPU interception slider at 0 and human at 35 I did not see one interception all night.
I had numerous drops by linebackers which otherwise would have been picked before patch. I also tested one game just completely throwing up passes left and right and again saw 0 picks, this was with the CPU just stonewalling catches lol
Granted the CPU slider is at 0 so at least it’s working. I haven’t seen a jumped route pick since the new patch BTW, maybe they don’t happen anymore?
I also haven’t noticed any upgrade with pass blocking. Even with the slider at 75 I’m getting little to no time in the pocket which is very disappointing.Last edited by Charizard; 10-15-2022, 06:33 AM.Comment

To be honest I’d take the next title update to only focus on sliders (obviously also taking care of save issues in CFMs as well). If they can tune the INT slider they can do them all.
