Do you fix theirs by moving your controller over to the other team, choosing it, then moving it to your team and choosing yours?

And that "sticks" when you move off the CPU?

If that's the case, this helps to know, so thanks!

Now that I think about it, I'm wrong, you can't change the CPU's books, just yours, but I don't feel like that the CPU only uses the Arizona playbook in games based on the playcalling that I see.

Did they happen to fix Ford Field’s touchdown lights? The last patch broke them.

Regarding authenticity, still waiting for Trey Lance’s cadence. He’s hurt, but if you’re playing as the 49ers, he’s probably your QB for ten seasons, and hearing a generic white guy breaks immersion.

I am pretty sure that today's patch reverted back to this behavior where the playbooks are set to Arizona's in the franchise games. When I went to advanced settings prior to today it always had the right playbook for my team. I wonder if this affects CPU's playbook selections as well.

I just figured out if you go into advanced setting pre-game and switch live playbooks from on to off and on again it switches the playbooks to the correct team. Still don't know if this works for the CPU. guess you have to pay attention to their formations in game.

Madden devs this year when it comes to fixing Madden 23 when they looking at all that messed up layered code:



At this point, we stuck with what we are stuck with. They might as well just come out and say we working on Madden 24 and the college football game full time. That is where our focus is.

I have no idea if this is new to patch 4 or I just never noticed, but there are two Tackle-End stunt plays in the play book editor under Nickel Over formation.

It's just basic C2 Man behind and the stunts don't seem to work all that well, but hey, new(ish) plays!

That article is from 2021 and is about last years game. Do we know that they didn't hire more staff for this year?

Yes, that is why I mentioned it. It would be lame to have the same shortcomings year over year - especially if you had a limited staff for the game before this years version (albeit it I'd imagine they are still recovering from COVID layoffs).

Additionally, I saw that EA was looking to hire 250 workers for their Orlando studio. Article is from earlier this year - I'd link but BizJournals is behind a paywall (lol).

Regardless of how many people were hired / are currently on payroll, in my opinion it's weak to use "we're allocating our resources elsewhere" as a reason why a game is incomplete, especially after it's been released and a majority of the sales have already taken place (launch day / week) and some of the issues have been around for some time now.

I got 2 games in last night, and they played fine for me and my taste. Lost the WC to a last sec 47 yard FG. Gameplay was beautiful. Nice back and forth game.

It's not unheard of. Franchise got minimum updates when Longshot and FOTF were in development because that's where they pulled those resources from. In an era of ever increasing profit margins and keeping investors happy, EA is more than happy to pull resources and not bring in more. That's not an indictment of the devs. Just EA as a company.

Maybe I'm wrong or being nitpicking but I swear I read in the forums a long time ago that they put the Steelers on the wrong sidelines. Looks like they didn't fix that.

I been having this issue in the game this year, before every game my playbooks are set to Arizona, same if I create a coach to.

Yes, because that can be shown in a quick clip that goes over well on a platform like Twitter.

They're not going to make a video showing "Fixed an issue allowing players to exploit defenders by using pump fake and throw-away at the same time, leading to zone coverage defenders ignoring the QB scrambling past the line of scrimmage". That's something that just gets fixed.

Some of you guys spend a lot of energy looking for every reason to feel slighted.

You're right. Madden is in a great state currently and they care about franchise...........

Has anyone confirmed 100% either way if the save corruption issue for offline franchise has been fixed? And, if so, does the patch fix an active franchise or do you have to start new?

Didn’t want to create a whole thread for this, but is it not possible to turn off the momentum effect? Not a fan of the feature and even more so not a fan of the giant box in the bottom right telling me what each tier means. It’s so distracting and takes up some much screen real estate pre snap!
