Re: Playmakers Madden 22 NG Pro Level Sliders (User vs CPU & CPU vs CPU)
Ok
So technically your issue is even though it's coach mode your still getting the boost on pro level as user vs CPU game unles you play straight CPU vs cpu without user input
The sliders you should be using for coach mode are the 1st version or 2nd version of user games played
Roger that!
I’ll try it [emoji1417]

Re: Playmakers Madden 22 NG Pro Level Sliders (User vs CPU & CPU vs CPU)
I also play Madden using the coach mode method. I played two preseason games, one on CG and the other on NG. The first game on NG was the Bears vs Dolphins. The Bears won 45-7. The second game was on CG with the Panthers vs Colts. The Panthers won 26-21.
On NG, I’m using your CPU v CPU sliders (version 1). On CG, I’m using default All Pro with your penalty, injury, fatigue and threshold sliders.
Coach mode is only selecting a play and then watching the CPU execute your play call. I don’t see how using a User v CPU slider set works for that style of play. I’ve always looked at coach mode as CPU v CPU with the exception of playcalling. Allowing the CPU to execute your play call doesn’t require any further user input except selecting the play and maybe choosing pass protection. I’ve tried CPU v CPU and don’t like the CPU’s playcalling. That’s why I like choosing the plays myself.

I thought the same thing as well. It’s still CPU vs CPU difference is I’m calling the plays.
Question… what is NG & CG and which do you prefer for our game play?

When you start the game you have to choose a team correct and then you have to call all the plays much like you would as if you were playing the CPU.
Then on passing plays unless I'm mistaken the QB won't throw the ball on his own right?
Also if you don't feel as if USER has any influence on coach mode then I would probably give the 2nd version of the CPU vs CPU sliders a trial test since those were scaled back on offense......
But again from my understanding despite you not controlling any players on Coach mode with the exception of the QB passing the ball on his own I don't think the game on this level (Pro) puts the USER controlled team on equal terms in regards to player boost unless your allocating total control of the game to just the CPU only.
Now maybe I'm 100% wrong and don't understand how that mode works and the QB operates on his own in coach mode for all aspects passing and running.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

NG is Next Gen (PS5/XSX) and CG is Current Gen (PS4/XB1). As far as preference goes, I like both although NG is a lot more smoother as far as animations go.

OK so quick question for the coach mode guys

QB does play completely on his own in coach mode PM. It is exactly cpu vs cpu EXCEPT user calls the plays for one team.
That being said I would be willing to bet that it the PRO bonus for the user does affect gameplay in coach mode, where it does not in cpu vs cpu.
I have zero actual proof of this, just a feeling because you play the game like user vs cpu, all coach mode does is allow the QB to throw the ball by himself if you leave him alone.
Unlike cpu vs cpu you CAN take control of players if you want to with coach mode turned on.

Yes, the team you chose in franchise mode is the team you control in the game. Coach mode in Madden is not a true coach mode like it was in NFL 2k on the PS2. The QB will throw the ball on his own if there is not any user input via the controller. RBs will run the ball and WRs will run after catch on their own without user input.
I see where you’re coming from in that this isn’t a CPU v CPU mode, but until EA gets coach mode correct (which I doubt they will) this is the best option since the CPU doesn’t always call a good game IMO. Trying out the second version of your CPU v CPU sliders may be something to consider. I’ve never tried a User c CPU set of sliders because I always looked at coach mode as CPU v CPU since I’m not influencing the play directly….

I didn't realize that the QB also throws the ball on his own.
So I can how it should play the same as CPU vs CPU but since EA doesn't really have a true Coach mode style of play incorporated into the game I believe they still code the game to give the USER team the advantage even if you relinquish control of the game to just your players.
I will test this out myself when I get a chance but I believe the game is still going to recognize it as a USER vs CPU matchup as opposed to a CPU vs CPU Matchup which is why the results IMO won't be results.....

Re: Playmakers Madden 22 NG Pro Level Sliders (User vs CPU & CPU vs CPU)
i used to coach mode all the time on ncaa and madden but a s ago they broke this mode where you actually ave to hold down a button when you’re on defense. coach mode sliders are a waste of time. you’ll be chasing sliders forever. qb dont scramble at all. it’s just bad, wish it was like it used to be. but honestly the cpu cpu is way better. When you have to touch buttons on defense it affects the game. The game doesnt know if it’s coach mode or hum vs cpu.
Thanks for the quick reply

Also in Coach mode you do have to do the punting, fgs, and kickoffs for your team.

Hey can someone educate me on CPU vs CPU mode and why anyone would use that to just watch vs playing the game yourself. Am I missing something here? Just curious not judging.

With Classic Rosters I love CPU vs CPU gameplay
CPU vs CPU IMO is hands down the best way to enjoy Madden there's no user influence on the outcome of the game.
If you find good sliders you get to witness the game in broadcast view and team ratings matter more.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD
