And then as the same drive continued, knocking on the door DH is in the zone, they call a power to the left only one rookie LB stands in his way and he gets bowled over by number 22 for a TD. It was beautiful!!! Loving these sliders.

I have cpu tak at 40 and hum on 35. Just experimenting with some numbers seen on this thread. Thanks guys.

How's the CPU pursuit angles with Tackle at 40?

I'm mostly concerned when the User controls a mobile QB they take advantage of the CPU lower tackle slider.

I'll take a look at pursuit angles a little more closely. But that's a good point about mobile QBs tho.

Playmakers bud! So glad to see you back on here! Been using your sliders the last couple years, so good!

Just wanted to get your thoughts on this thread....

Sounds like speed threshold at 95 is the way to go.

Glad you kept it essentially the same! I'm still running your 21 sliders and i'm 7 games in. I've been having some really great games. I'll try these out separately and keep you all posted.

what's weird is the I feel the game plays differently depending on who you play on defense.

I've tried them all. DL, LB, CB, Safeties. Dedicated each game to them and they all receive different results gameplay and stat wise. It's weird. Maybe it's in the design or something that makes it behave that way.

              That's a good read

But I prefer lower threshold because it helps the CPU on Pro

I don't want my slowest DB getting a speed boost just to close the gap on the fastest wr.

If he can show me a video of Tyreke Hill creating separation while the CPU is utilizing him then I'll buy into the higher threshold.

Also another reason I prefer lower threshold is because TE's aren't getting the majority of passes.

CPU spreads the ball around to WR's much better because they are getting that separation early and the CPU isn't necessarily looking for the fastest player he sees. He's looking for the guy who becomes open 1st more often than not.....

He might be spot on in terms of speed but how the CPU actually reacts doing the game is different.

Yeah I don't feel gameplay is that much different between the two other than 22 feels smoother on the field they just refined a lot of things.

Best advice I could ever give a person though is if you find a setting that works well for you long term don't make changes unless needed.

That's when you get caught up in slider hell

Playmakers great job on the sliders!! So I think I’m I’m almost locked in on a set. Pretty much what you have on the OP with a few minor tweaks. The only issue I’m having is the clock a have ran 15min quarters with 13sec run off but it feels like there are too many plays and I don’t want cpu QB throwing the ball 50 times a game lol. Last game I tried 13min quarters 15sec run off and I had 107 plays between the two teams and no RB went over 16 att any suggestions would be appreciated.

hc 0023 ans me tested these clock settings. we've found 12 minutes with 20 second runoff to be the best option. especially for cpu vs cpu. the pace of the game feels right and the play count is in the 120-130 range.

We tried 15/11, 13/15 and 10 with no runoff. 12/20 is just so smooth.

Yeah I stay away from 15 minute qtr's

I prefer the 13 Minutes which you used last game I see.....

Looks like you got about 54 plays per team which is below the 60-62 plays per game. Let me do some more testing with the clock I usually call plays quick personally.

As for the CPU running the ball i would honestly like to see them attempt more carries myself because they actually do solid when they attempt to run.

Madden is so pass heavy like the NFL today so that's tough maybe use Live Playbooks and see if that helps remedy the situation better.

D.Henry only got 13 touches in one of my test games but that was in play now mode.

Which is why I created a thread about a month ago on how EA needs to expand the sliders so we can actually set tendencies which would really help Madden.

                        Edit:

I just saw tommy's post about 12 minutes/20 seconds runoff

I'll test that this evening myself

One thing Josh told me years ago regarding quarter length, accell clock, etc that I still go by is this.

No matter what clock settings you use always try to match when the CPU snaps the ball.

For example if the CPU comes out and on average snaps the ball with 12 seconds on the play clock try to match that when you're on offense. If not the offensive snaps start to become heavily screwed for the User or CPU. BTW, I also use 12 mins with 20 sec accell clock.

Just had a great game against the eagles i was playing lions. Hurst was killing me with his legs he took off 7 times for 78yrds but there was one that was awesome he scrambled out of the pocket to the left I had my CB,safety and MLB all conversed on him at once I thought he was stopping and the play was over but he trucked into all three Spun and took off down the field for 25yrds it reminded me of the Barry Sanders play against the bears never seen this in madden before. The game came down to wire the eagles drove down the field in the last minute of the game made to the 22yrd line hurst threw the ball to the end zone on 3rd down my safety walker jumped up to intercept it and dropped it so on 4th down with 8 seconds left they ran the same play but this time walker didn’t drop it!! I won 27-20 all in all great game there was even 3 pass interferences calls

Also it’s funny cuz I’ll get teams come out running the ball and it seems they always go away from it. It’s one of the reasons I was doing 15mins cuz you would see backs with 20+ carries
