Pass Block at 40 kills the sacks

The pressure is coming because I had tackle at 45 on original base vs Pass Block at 35

That was too much of an advantage for the defense vs the OL

I put them both at 40/40 and now the sacks are calmed down. 35 made the QB's panic too much and try to bail out which led to sacks

14 sacks is the NFL record for team sacks in one game. Mr personally I played KC and I had the momentum Metter full for the 1st 2 quarters. I was ahead by at least 3 scores before halftime and after half time they came back with complete control over the momentum meter and beat the socks off me
Can't Remer final score but I think they beat me around 20 pts.

The only thing that needs tweaking on these sliders are cpu fumble. They are to many and human fumbles just don't happen. Out of 17 games I don't have 1 fumble. The cpu rushing and passing are fine. The sacks are not over the top and Remer the nfl record for single player sacks in one season is 23, so unless you are busting that then the sacks are pretty good.

I decided to start streaming my games on twitch so we can see the good and little bad to this cpu vs cpu set.

Everything is OP except fatigue. I have 65 for mine

I'm guessing this is based on USER vs CPU gameplay?

Because I looked at last year's Pro set, I remember I had to lower USER down to like 5 in order for them to fumble the ball

Im going to roll a few more games. If I see it continue, I'll make the change. That really was the first bad sack game I saw. Even to note, After those 8, in the second half ZERO times sacked. Adjustment or gameplay, it was nice seeing Oline step up.

A couple more weeks in and QB scramble still over done (legacy?) no one reacts till well past player and if they dont slide, and qb fumbles. Had a MLB sitting and QB ran by him before he reacted and could have stopped him 5 yards instead of the 22 yards Tribisky got.

Coverage seems a bit to soft?? Really questionable here. Really wondering.

vs Steelers in Twitch. Good back and forth game, but Tribisky and Brissett really aired out. Would have liked more smash mouth, but this really was the first over use of passing I saw till 4th and then a few more times running. Very offensive game for both sides.

Re: Playmakers Madden 23 Pro Level (Classic Passing) User vs CPU & CPU vs CPU Sliders

Correction this belonged in the Pro Thread for CPU vs CPU

Looks like we are close on the CPU vs CPU settings

I'm digging into the stock rosters again and since this Pro Level CPU vs CPU what I do is take the average overall rating for the lowest rated players at each position in specific rating category to determine the Slider setting.

This seems to work really well on Pro level for the CPU games because it keeps the lowest rated players close to their ratings and the higher rated guys still out play the Slider setting

Lowest QBA rating for all QB's throw under pressure rating is 65 which is terrific because we already had the Slider at 65. However, when you take into account SAC, MED, DEEP & Throw On The Run it averages out to 63.8

64 seems might be the ideal setting now not far off from 65.

Run Blocking I used the following Ratings since these take effect for the OL in CPU vs CPU games. Run Block Power, Run Block Footwork, Lead Block & Impact Block.

With all 4 factors the avg for lowest rated OL's were 61.15 and with Just Run Block Footwork and Power it was 64. I'm settle on 62 Run Blocking which isn't too far off from the original 65 base setting. I was shocked to see again how close the base setting was to the average ratings.

The Lowest Catch In Traffic for amongst all offensive Skill Positions players was 42. I will only use this rating to determine catching because it creates more in completions for throws in traffic. This will not IMPACT the skill players ability to catch without IMPACT, so drops won't happen often because all WR's in the game have a natural catch rating above 70.

That means I will increase the WR Catch slider just a tad from 40 to 42

I checked lowest Defenders Catch IN Traffic Rating and the lowest was at 10.

We will reduce INT Slider down from 15 to 10 now in order create more stone hands defensively until EA possibly releases patch.

Now what this means is we want to make sure the QBA Slider combined with the Pass Blocking Slider still Equals 100 just like it would be if left at default 50 for both each. Those two-sliders tie into each so QBA-62 & Pass Block 38 will be the new testing setup that gives us our 100 balance.

Same thing for Run Block and Fumble we will go Run Block 62 & Fumble 38 still not too far off from the original 65/40 settings

I will leave Tackle at 40 because ironically and this blew my mind the lowest overall rated defender for tackling in this game is some rookie for the 49ers named Samuel Womack he's rated a 40. The lowest players are in the 45 range. But what that does is allow guys like Henry to still truck those little DB's which he was already doing anyways LOL

But the sweet spot either way seems to be between 40-45 where we were already at with the 1st version.

The Coverage Slider is intriguing based on the ratings.

The Avg rating without including the LB's and just the DB's is 58.6 or 60 rounded up.

IF you include the LB's then the avg drops to 45.45. I currently have Pass Coverage at 45 on the base setting. I'm not sure if we need to be at 58 (60) by using just the DB's or stay at 45 to take into account the LB's.

For Reaction Slider the avg rating for all defensive positions was 51.5 or 52......

I had it at 40, so we might set it back to Default 50 or go with the slight boost up to 52.

The Lowest Kicker accuracy rating is 67. But we all know 67 is automatic on the sliders. So, I'll divide that by 2 and we get 33.5 or 34 for FG Accuracy now. The kicking Sliders have to equal 100 combined together so the new test base setting will be 66 Kick Power and 34 Accuracy that will drop down from the 70/40 current setting.

Punting is a little different the lowest rated punter has 90 power and 71 Accuracy. So going to keep Punt Power at 70 which seems to give the distance on the punt around 50-55 yards for CPU vs CPU. The accuracy will drop down from 55 to 51.

For Stamina the lowest rated player in the game is 69. But the base overall seems to be 80 or higher for most players.

What that means is I'm drop fatigue Slider to 70 but set auto subs up to 80-OUT and 85-IN

Injuries + Fatigue needs = 100 to get you back to the default 100 total between the two. So, Injuries will go up from 25 to 30 giving you a 30/70 split for our 100 cap.

Going to incorporate the settings and test a few games based on the #'s shown.

Re: Playmakers Madden 23 Pro Level (Classic Passing) User vs CPU & CPU vs CPU Sliders

Early Impressions after inputting those settings

Miami is leading New England 17-7 late in the 3rd QTR

I've seen about 5 total penalties 2 of them killed New England drives. The Pass rush is heavy after the QB's, but Tua has managed to overcome it better than Jones because of his legs.

Setting is at 38. 40 basically eliminated sacks in prior games so it's a tough decision as to what direction I wat to go here.

Tua is really moving around very well in the pocket. Judon had a nice chase down sack from behind it looked so damn realistic.

Passes that actually stretch the field really gets challenged by the DB's but both WR's and DB's are aggressive going up for it. The medium and deep passes are truly where you'll see the accuracy differences in QB's. On the short passing it doesn't matter all the QB's will complete a high % and I don't think there's anything that can be done about that stuff.

Sanders missed an FG inside 50 yards. But with Kick Power at 66 as opposed to 70 more 50-yard attempts come up just short. So, 70 does seem to be the sweet spot for Kicker distance on Pro.

Running game looks well balanced and I saw a fumble with the slider at 38. Both back have been solid but no big runs like I saw with Henry.

                    Box score coming up soon

Re: Playmakers Madden 23 Pro Level (Classic Passing) User vs CPU & CPU vs CPU Sliders

So Tua ended up being sacked 5 times. His OL actually allowed only 2 of the 5 sacks. His other 3 sacks came because he left the pocket, and it looked like New England started game planning for him since he was moving around a lot earlier in the game and making plays on the move.

Vice Versa Jones just threw the ball away on most occasions and dink and dunked a lot.

He did have some nice passes to Parker late in that 4th QTR to rally New England to the win and he protected the ball with no picks.

I think considering Tua put it up 52 times having only 2 picks for him was probably pretty accurate. This is why I wish EA would let us control each team Run/Pass Ratio though.

This game was played with 52 Pass Reaction, 48 Pass Coverage & INT 10.

Net test will be 52 Pass Reaction, 60 Pass Coverage & INT 0

Overall, I really loved how this game played out.

New England only managed to covert 2/9 3rd downs (22%) while Miami converted 11/17 (64%) but the Turnovers killed Miami.

The Pats ended up with 4 Penalties for 30 yards and Miami ended up with 2 penalties for 25 yards.

OK I think I'm going t set on 40 Pass Block over 38. 40 is just safer because I know that setting is going to kill sacks and I'll set the USER decide if they want more pressure by going back down to 38.

Same thing will hold true for the Tackle slider 40 is more juke animations 42 makes running a tad more difficult because the defenders won't miss as many tackles.

I'm also with go 58 Coverage over 48 and just use the DB's avg ratings which will help for teams to get off the field more on 3rd downs.

Got another box score coming up between Seattle and Denver with the updated Changes for the set we will go with now.

BTW Drew Lock is struggling under this update while Wilson is more accurate so ratings are being reflected.

I think you CPU vs CPU guys are going to be in heaven watching this game play.

Denver was killing Seattle 28-7 going into the 4th QTR. Neither team had a single sack before I had to stop the game. Lock was 21/38 for 192 yards and 3 picks.

Wilson was 21/26 for 248 and had 0 picks. I was going to post box score, but I'm sold on these so need to delay the update.

Going to spend some time on those tomorrow

Will Most likely increase the CPU defense for a few Sliders that I intentionally left below their Maximum value.

The Only Human Slider that really needs to be adjusted is the Fumble Slider.

CPU might also get a substantial boost at QB like I did in 21 Sliders since we are all very familiar with the gameplay now. Might as well set them up to compete vs the USER long term.
