Are you going to work on the injury slider? Only having around 1 injury a game kinda ruins the immersion foe me. Other then that these are great sliders.

      Yeah

I want to see what results I get with it doing the CPU vs CPU testing and then apply it to the USER vs CPU gameplay

I'm currently at 25 testing for tonight

Using these sliders, I've seen the first cpu vs cpu punt return td in several years. They are playing great so far.

That's interesting are you using the human side of the sliders or the CPU side for your ssettings?

I'm still undecided on the blocking sliders that's why I haven't released my set yet.

I should be good after work tonight to post my initial base setup for CPU vs CPU

          That return looked very realistic

Are your CPU vs CPU sliders getting posted soon? I have been trying out orye74's from cdcools slider set but definitely want to give yours a shot.

Getting closer on the CPU vs CPU set

Here's my observations after 3 days of testing so far......

Also want to thank Tommie for providing valuable feedback as always on these CPU settings

                  OFFENSE

                  QBA (65)
This continues to be the best setting IMO for the last 3 years because it keeps that separation between the good QB's and Avg QB's. You won't see the difference on short throws but in medium and deep throws this is where the setting will stand out and separate them. Go above this setting and your most likely not going to see those few errant off target throws that even the best QB's will still make.

                  Pass Block (35)
This setting allows the good OL to hold up but avg guys especially with low Footwork ratings will get pushed back at times. It also allows less suction blocking which is still in the game. If you set this slider to 0 with the threshold, I'm using for CPU vs CPU the speed rushers will become absolute monsters. That would be my ideal setting for pass rushers with high finesse moves ratings but the sacks can get up to 4-5 per game on avg and moving it from 0 to 10 doesn't really solve the issue.

So, 35 is the sweet spot for now but subject to change.....

                  WR Catch (40)
I tried 45 and 50 but here's the deal. At those values and anything higher the WR's tend to warp to the ball and their catch in traffic rating doesn't truly reflect on the field for anything above 40.

EA has all WR's at 70 or higher in the ratings category and in reality, we all know not every guy is going to be a Michael Irvin or Megatron holding onto the ball when they take that hit or are in traffic.

40 not only gives you that sweet animation for in traffic catching but it also stops the warping to the ball which in return you're going to see on deep passes or passes over the middle where the WR just barely misses getting his hands on the ball resulting in very realistic overthrow.

Some of you made have already seen this in my USER vs CPU games. This setting for the past few years just seems to click with QBA at 65. Anyone can make the game tougher by jacking up the sliders but I'm not looking to do that over realism.

                  Run Block (65)
Much like the QBA Slider you want to keep this to a level in which you still have good blocking, but you don't want to boost up the avg OL players and make them play above their ratings. 65 keeps the avg guys avg and the better higher rated guys will still dominate in run block.

Ironically even the lowest rated OL's will be in that 60-65 range for run block footwork and run block power. Most guys don't realize those are the two ratings that actually effect gameplay along with Lead Block and IMPACT Block.

                  DEFENSE

                  Pass Reaction (40-45)
This slider for years has been a mystery slider and I believe it ties into not one but two things. Yes, it helps the defenders to recognize and locate the ball in the air. But the biggest thing IMO that it does is effect DL pass rush moves. Lower this Slider and it becomes harder for them to disengage from the OL unless you're playing with a really low Pass Block Slider.

                  INT (20)
I thought about 15 and may still drop it. But for now, I'm going to play a few more games and see if a pattern continues. I had 2-3 games where only one of the teams QB's threw picks.

                  Pass Coverage (45)

                  Tackle (45)

Thought about going lower but at 45 it helps to keep broken tackles at a minimum. I watched opening match up between Miami and New England where Damion Harris has 26 carries for 112 yards but only 1 broken tackle.

However, as I've been mentioning for years on this level a lower tackle slider triggers the best overall animations.

                  Player Speed Threshold (0)

Been using this for CPU vs CPU for years now and the biggest thing this year that helps gameplay is it keeps the separation good and stops defenders from making up ground in coverage quickly vs the pass.

That helps the AI QB's get away with some passes that would normally get picked off on higher thresholds because the defenders recover more quickly and close the speed gap.

                  Injuries (25)
I saw on average about 3 injuries per game with this setting. Will also be adding this setting to the USER vs CPU settings now.

PM, do you think it makes sense for me to use your CPU v. CPU sliders in my career mode franchise games? The only change being making QB Accuracy (for example) match that of your USER v. CPU sliders if I’m controlling a QB or making the running sliders match your USER v. CPU sliders if I’m controlling a HB.

                    Thoughts?

Play now mode is not going to give the same results as franchise mode

I learned that with the User vs CPU sets

Not sure why EA doesn't allow us to carry over sliders from one mode to the next

I was just gonna ask u that too. So these were tested in cfm? Cuz I've used these inputs before but the momentum and morale in cfm didn't work well w these in previous madden games

I learned that with the User vs CPU sets

Not sure why EA doesn't allow us to carry over sliders from one mode to the next
Yeah I dont know why they play differently. I enjoy PlayNow better then Franchise believe it or not .
