Any chance this is by design? I'm not saying it's not a bug, but drive to drive, depending on what's happened through the course of the series, is resetting to default, and forcing the user to readjust entirely out of the realm of possibility?



Just thinking out loud, keeping in mind, most times i really don't know what i'm talking about, lol.

Could be. I am already in the habit of doing them every drive on both sides of the ball.

Can you turn off the momentum stuff or do you like it in the game?

You cannot shut them off and for me on Pro they have been balanced.

However if we had the option to shut them off I would….and also that meter and all that text on my screen grinds my gears.

According to a user who did a test today. Franchise bug appears when you use custom classes or have cpu controlling teams (so coaches can be fired). Both test franchises crashed.

He did 32 team control (so coaches remained the same) and use default draft classes. No crash. Was still going in 2042.

If you want a long franchise, control all 32 teams and don’t download a draft class.


I’m playing as the Bengals in my franchise mode but I’ve added the other 31 coaches under my control but set everything to auto. They’ll draft and sign free agents just like a single player experience, I’m just playing the Bengals and letting the cpu sort the other teams out.

Only drawbacks are the cpu won’t trade, can’t use the score ticker and you can’t change the cpu uniform.

So with the draft, they do draft but even with everything to auto you have to sim pick to pick. As they are all technically users. I have done this for a few seasons thus far and has actually been fun. I have even done some draft pick trading for the other teams as well. Only downside is the trade finder doesn't function with 32 team control.

I have never really read the 32 team control info on the front page here but have been using some settings of my own. I have gone through each team week 1 of the regular season and set contract negotiations to manual. You have to do it this way as it takes a week for the effects to take place. This has allowed teams that had franchise players go to free agency stay on their team. It has allowed the league to keep players like Burrows, Herbert, Bosa (both), etc on the team that would throw money at them to keep them.

I will do the same during free agency week 2 when I see players that should be signed to teams with no offers. I will set free agency to manual and make some signings that make sense.

I don't really do the scenarios but I do the fifth year options for all 32 teams.

Normally the only game I ever do all team control on has been 2k but I am enjoying my take on it. It is making the league a lot more balanced.

As I finish year 4 and start year 5, I am going to start my gaming in franchise and play as the Bears. I controlled all of their moves and am excited about playing with the team I built. I have my drafted franchise quarterback (superstar) and 2 superstar x factor cornerbacks that will make my secondary the new legion of boom.

Played week 1 and 2 in my franchise I’m using at the moment and blew out both Seattle and the Texans but then went up against Trey Lance and the 49ers.

It was a completely different game and Trey ran for over 80 yards on me and scored a TD when he scrambled out of the pocket. Also threw my first 2 interceptions of the season but they were completely my fault for trying to push things.

These sliders are playing great. So just want to thank you armor because I was going to pass on the game until trying out your sliders.

The skill level is set to All Madden in the main menu and Pro within your franchise menu. I’m not sure why but I trust armor . I’m sure he explained it somewhere but I missed it

Remember to set the following coaching adjustment’s on defense.

And BTW there is a bug with coaching adjustments. They are resetting after every drive. So be mindful of that!

Alignment - Man
CB matchup - Depth chart
CB - Swat
Tackle - Conservative
Zone - Match

Offense

WR Deep Ball - Aggressive

Remember in the main menu set to All-Madden.

Inside your franchise you set the skill level to:

“Pro”

The comp interceptions are ruining it for me. My opponents are throwing 3-4 ints a game. If it weren’t for the ints, id be having some good games.
Just played Colts vs Broncos week 5.
Willson came into the game with 10 TD’s and 1 int.
I played through 3 quarters and he threw 7 ints. Three were pick 6’s.
I thought putting swat ball into coaching adjustments would help but it seemed to make it worse.

Go to 10 minute quarters with no accelerated clock and turn on ball hawk. Not sure why this works but it calmed down the crazy amount of interceptions I was seeing.
