Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!
I like all of Dtowns ideas.
I like the presnap reads. Quaterbacks should be able to look at and read defenders at the line of scrimmage.
Are there refs? There should be and it would be awesome if they were looking at the play
It would be really cool if the safeties would actually read the quaterback.
Example:
The quaterback is starring down one specific reciever the entire time the safety is going to jump the route and pick the ball off.
Example 2:
Quaterback looks and pump fakes a DB towards one direction/reciever but throws to a different direction to bait the safety.Comment

Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!
what about the pro bowl? players should be shaking hands before a play starts(like when asmogha shook with fitzgerald before the ball was snapped.players should be relaxed and happy at the pro bowl.and when they are dissapointed they just shakes their heads and smirk it offComment

i see people on the computer generated dropback pump fake 2-3 times and mess up the entire defenseComment

Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!
I have a quick thought on implementing this:
My understanding is that it doesn't really affect the way DB's play in the game, but I think that's a shame to not fully utilize such a powerful technology. To me it seems you could do a couple of things with this to make the game play more realistically.
1) When a receiver looks back for the ball, the defender either looks back or puts his hands up, but only at a rate that is tied to his awareness and coverage ratings.
2) defenders in zone coverage are more affected by where the QB is looking. Again, tied to awareness and zone coverage rating.
3) The ability to not only find the ball but then to make a play is different for defensive players, and offensive players.
Now some more cosmetic ideas
1) WR's look in towards the LOS before the snap.
2) QB's and RB's look over the defense presnap. Please not the same animation every time though...make it dynamic.
This would be a cool one:
You know how kansas has the entire offense basically run from the sideline, audibles and all? It would be cool to see the WR's and RB's turn to look when an audible is called in the college game (that's the perspective I have....I don't play Madden much).Go Colts, Go Irish!!

Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!
1.THE Quarterback:needs to have qb signaling running around changing the play.make them more mobile before the play.Ive seen qb's run up and down trying to change the play before the ball is snapped because they see a mismatch or see where they can make a big play down the feild.if they have the play calls on their wristbands' show them flipping it looking at plays before the huddle.
2.mistakes.there should be mishaps on special teams, offense ,and defense. It should depend on the rating of the team and in franchise the chemistry the team has with each other.QB's should accidently get their foot stepped on by their center,or hand the ball of the their running back and end up not puting it in the running back's and fumble the ball.have the center throw the ball off target when they hike it.its needs to have variety.sometimes it thrown high near the shoulder or the knee(bad hike but qb can get the ball ),over their head(fumble),or right to their hands(perfect hike)*should be done according to center rating.
3.SPECIAL TEAMSneeds to ugraded.we need special team postions.many people make the pro bowl because of what they did on special teams.not just the players that recieve the ball, but also the players the defend against and are always the first down the feild.their should be a position called st(special teamer) but just on the depth chart.there should be a rating called special team ability or sumthin like that.kassim osgood(100 ratingon special team ability ,sean morey(90 Spec.T ability),and brendan ayenbajo (90)should bet he best three at it.
4.massive hits. example: its 3rd and long and the offense needs to run a cross route .wr goes out for the pass and its overthrown...bam! a saftey comes down and just wallops the wide recievers.(im talking about the ryan clark hit he landed on wes welker this season)there should be a flag thrown, crowd gets quiets ,player stays down as the medical team comes outt oth feild.should be light cheering when they are carted out
BIGGER,BETTER,MINDBOGGOLING CATCHES!

Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!
I'd prefer they focus on getting OL/DL interaction, WR/DB interaction, and defensive pursuit angles better before they start worrying about a QBs foot getting stepped on. The first list of things happen throughout every game. The second, unless you're Kurt Warner, might happen 3-4 times during the year.Quit making your stupid YouTube videos and start playing the game.Comment

Is Tom Hammond making a return? If yes, have him down a 12 pack of beer before recording him. He was one of the most unnatural sounding announcers ever in a sports game.Comment

I would add QB drop back to that list aswell.. Ugliest thing I have ever seen. ( Throwing animation is also pretty bad - looks like they had a dev pretend like he knew what he was doing and captured it )Comment

Re: The First Official Feature For Madden NFL 10!
For me the lack of a functional Franchise mode makes this a repetitive game, lacking in fun. They can fix things like the QB Drop back and the throw, and they can add this head tracking thing, too, but it's all immaterial if the game doesn't provide a fun and immersive experience. For me, that starts with a working Franchise mode.Comment

Before you (EA) put any new features in Madden 10, please, please make sure each feature works the way it is suppose to play out. Test one feature at a time and make sure it works, then start on the next.CLICK ME==> NY Jets Dynasty
