"What we do have at our disposal now is the ability to override their default formation position...so on a per play basis we can have one of the outside linebackers use a 3 point stance and it gives the look of a 4-3. We can then mix those plays in with the other 3-4 plays in that set."

I didn't realize they did it separately last year. Now thinking about it, it makes sense. Looking forward tot he new audio.

I don't know if they did or not, I was just pointing out that they are recording together this year. We know from past games that the quality of commentary is often better when the talent can record together.

I'm hoping the presence of Collinsworth and his enthusiasm will wake Hammond up

i've been lurking in these forums for a long, long time now, and have never written anything. however, i have to respond to the effort that EA is putting out this year. i feel like they are finally getting it right.

Saw some pretty amazing tech in today's build. Never before seen in a football game I believe. The future of Madden is here baby!

In regards to the same subject:

A little info is better than none. Maybe some of us will come close and you can give us a "hot or cold" response. Blink twice if we're right, that sort of thing :P

EDIT: By the use of the word "tech" and by the comments you've made I'd assume it's an on the field addition, not a new mode or something. Is it fair to say it it will have a direct effect on how the game plays?

I like what Im hearing. But wasnt Madden 06',07',08',09' supposed to be the simmest and bestest football games ever made too?


I really hope this game delivers. Between what 2K and EA have done over the last 5 years Im done believing hype.

Hey, man, don't look at me. I'm not hyping anything. I'm just providing links and passing on what I hear. I've already been accused of that recently (in a blog that was mostly critical of EA), I'm getting a little bit tired of it.
