Re: Does anyone play Madden on a plasma?
Plasma hands down is the best type of tv's for anything.
I have 5 hdtv's
I have 2 plasma's and 3 LCD's
I have the Panasonic Viera THX 50 inch plasma which is a great tv but not my favorite for gaming
I have 3 Samsung HDTV LCD's and they look great for gaming but suffer from input lag....Google it if you dont know what that is.
People will tell you that they dont see input lag but is there...
Unless you play in game mode which takes away your ability to edit the picture settings and has to much sharpness which leads to jaggies
1 of my lcd from samsung is the touch of color which is great
but it suffers from input lag worst then the other lcd's
My favorite hdtv that i have is my baby....The Elite Kuro 50 inch
Pioneer Electronics car audio and home theater entertainment products including in-car GPS navigation, Android Auto Enabled Receivers, Apple Car Play enabled Receivers, Pioneer and Elite Receivers, headphones, iphone car stereo, car stereos, bluetooth car stereo, car radio, speakers and Blu-ray/DVD Drives
best tv in the market hands down and it cost a pretty penny but gaming with no input lag and color and picture accuracy is beyond real
I game for long hours...in call of duty and madden and ncaa and all types of games and no burn in...that is a a thing of the pastComment

Re: Does anyone play Madden on a plasma?
I forgot to add, if you decide to go lcd, stick with Samsung. They're the best at lcd's.
Anyway, If you can help me out. Is a Sony 40" Bravia Flat LCD 1080P HDTV a good buy?Horseshoes & HollyWoodComment

Re: Does anyone play Madden on a plasma?
Plasma often has better picture quality, LCD are good but to get an LCD at a similar picture quality to plasma you typically have to spend much more money than you would if you bought the plasma in the first place.
As others have mentioned LCD may be better if you are in a very bright environment, but plasma usually has better picture quality. LCD also has a limited viewing angle.
Best case scenario for a current LCD is a picture quality that is as good as the best plasmas but only if you are viewing directly head on, and even then the top LCD will cost more than the plasma.Comment

Re: Does anyone play Madden on a plasma?
I play on a 25" Magnavox. It's basically enhanced definition, I think, because I am able to utilize the HD wires on the console to produce a better picture than standard definition, but it's certainly not high definition. It's good enough for me, though, and it was only like $100!Comment

Re: Does anyone play Madden on a plasma?
In the end reviews don't matter with TVs, just go and look at both and see what you prefer. Just be aware that showrooms have TVs at settings that you would likely never use at homeComment

I also play on a Plasma. Got a Pioneer Kuro 5080HD. Had it for about 2 years and have never had a noticeable pixel of burn in ever. The anti burn in features are top notch on this one and the picture is phenomenal.Comment
