What's amazing me to is so many people have not come to grips with a basic reality. A VIDEO GAME WILL NEVER IMITATE LIFE!!! Every sports game ever created is flawed and filled with glaring holes, the only thing that differs is where the holes exist. Madden 09 was trash as was NCAA 09 but I'm still playing NCaa because Online Dynasty was so fun all the other holes were acceptable. Madden 09 was unacceptable because not only was the game flawed, there ws nothing to cover it up. MLB The Show and NFL 2K5 get by with all their flaws because there presentation and basic gameplay cover up the holes. Don't tell me you never seen people missing blocks and looking the wrong way in 2K5, and don't tell me MLB isn't flawed either, hell very 3 seasons I can't sign a fricking coach for some unknown reason.

Madden '10 won't be some groundbreaking realistic football game. All you can hope for is a fun game not an imitation of real life.

its not fun watching my TE do the cha cha on running plays. its not fun watching D-line getting pushed around by superman OL. its not fun watching OL missing blocks to the point where they dont even know who they suppose to block. thats what madden do.

im not intrigued by big hits and 180 cart wheels or slanging the ball 50 when u travel 20 yards back. NO one looking for a perfect simulation in madden, WE LOOKING FOR A SIMULATION to appear...lol...thats not too much to ask.

you can say what u want about 2k and its flaws but everyone here knows that the foundation, the basics, the physics, the overall core of 2k engine is a TRUE simulation of NFL football. madden just has the jersey and names until EA can show me otherwise

thank you i finally found someone that is logical. You will never be able to sit down with film from a video game and a film from real life and say its identical. Every video game has things that are flawed and not totally realistic, video games are meant to be fun. While i agree that blocking AI should be improved to make the madden series a better football game, they can never improve the game enough to match exactly what we see on sundays.

Do we want to go down this road. If your considering 2k arcade then by all means what does this make Madden?

Im not telling anybody to judge the game based on one of my videos, if your ignorant enough to do that, then by all means go ahead. If you believe everything you see then you have more problems than video game football.

That type of gameplay (at any point) is just unacceptable, you have more than just me showing you guys are doing nothing on the field as it relates to the play. I should be able to run the plays as they are designed (by and for) the game. A spin move before the you hit the gap in the OLine is just outright crazy unless your a top 5 back.

Im not sure whats worse, the game play itself of the diehards here telling me that its acceptable, even defending it. I get broken plays and missed assignments every once in a while, with Madden 09 plays like are much more common than ones executed properly.

I need your help here , and maybe I'm at fault for overlooking something from Madden 09, but I'm just having a really hard time grasping the fact that Madden 09 help start the foundation for the future of Madden in Next gen.

Please elaborate on exactly what Madden 09 did to head its franchise in the right direction?

Madden 09 was flawed and didn't have much to cover it up, thus making it boring and hard to play, but my point is that it was the best game on the next-gen/current-gen consoles and a lot of stuff that you saw in Madden 09 (not game play) like backtrack, the camera guys on the sidelines, subs on the fly, two-man broadcast booth, etc will be improved in Madden 10. Sometimes when I'm watching these game play videos, I want to ask: Is the 'fun-factor'(not the Wii fun) important anymore? The physics in Madden definitely needs to be improved, but if not, I'll need something to make up for it. I played almost all of the last-gen Madden games and although they were great, there will still many issues, but I had a heck of a good time with them. Madden 2005 was the best game that I've ever played, even better than 2k5 (to me), but I think that Madden 10 will take that crown this year.

Wait a minute.......RMoody's videos were spot on and most of us here in the Madden forums are supposed to be trying to give constructive criticism. He can make as many videos as he wants, but EVERYONE is only looking for a better product. The only thing that would be bad is if we continued to make Madden 09 seem like Madden 10.

So wait, because you have been here longer, that somehow makes your point more valid, and mine less?

Your desire is that I just stop playing Madden ,and thus stop complaining. Yet your complaining about a thread I didnt start based on a video you choose to watch. Maybe take your own advise, dont read the thread or watch the vid, play more Madden instead maybe?

Apparently this issue isn't fixable or simply nobody thought it was important enough to get fixed the last 3 installments. Frustrated by a poor product, I set out to try to make a difference.

EA wanted to see game issues, I (and others) showed them. Its the fans of the game that apparently have a large issue with that. Alot of defensive toned posts bent on validating that gameplay.
