Wrong person on the practice mode jab. I play offline franchise, strictly because the online game is down right unplayable. The exploits are just too much. You know you have an issue when you type "Madden Cheat" in on Ebay and get guys selling exploits to your game, promising weekly updates. People get paid off your games flaws, personally I find that outrageous.

Again, going back to what I just said. I would hope that the guys who sell the cheats to your game bother you more than the guys that offer you constructive criticism. You have a group that follows you too Ian, and praise your every word like your a water walker. Its posts like this that make it out to be a video game civil war which is beyond stupid. No side can win, we just embarrass ourselves more. Can you not accept the good with the bad? I think I take a pretty light hearted approach to the gameplay. I keep in perspective Im clowning a game.

Videos pointing out flaws will continue to roll in as long as we're around and in this business.
Your acting like Im asking for mission impossible. A "Wild Cat" offense was put in this year, and Im asking alot for fundamental plays to work?

Wonderful. We are on the same page.

I have never doubted the hard work or dedication you put into this game, quite the opposite. In this post I reference what must be an unhealthy attention put into player attributes. Sadly, those attributes mean very little when you have game flaws like you see in Madden.

Ian, to some people here your gonna do no wrong. To those same people I will always be a grouch who cant stop taking a game literally. Regardless of how you like the way I do it, I provide you with constrictive criticism for your game.

I told you a long time ago, I dont thank many people for doing their job. You wanna come to my job and give me flack, PM me and we will work it out. I take constructive criticism in stride, I learn from it knowing that ultimately it allows me to archive more.I have put out a very limited amount of videos, I have never taken footage of your M10 gameplay and used it against you. Not that I think anything is wrong with that, its just not something I will do. When I buy my used copy, and have issues, Ill make videos. If its perfect, you send me the crow. Deal?

      Vocal minority...

Since I post here regularly, I am a member of the "hardcore community", and I would certainly object to being lumped in with the handful of malcontents who will never be happy. I would also hate for the actions of a few to cause the concerns of the community to fall on deaf ears due to the perception that we can "never be satisfied".

I'm not in anyway looking for a perfect game, just a solid or a above avg game. I play extremely sim, and never play anyone online that I do not know, so if the game isn't perfect it's not a deal breaker for me.
Whoa, roadman brought out the best in you. I really hope Madden 10 delivers this year and gets back to the roots of the Madden franchise. I really hope that I get the same feeling that I got after playing my first game of Madden 2005.

Ian, Phil, Donny, Josh, etc are not getting paid to be here on OS. In fact, I heard that some people at EA laugh at them for trying to please people who will never be pleased no matter what they do. I just wanted to ask you something. Did you play last-gen Maddens? If, so, what did you enjoy the most about them? I really think that all of the next-gen/current-gen Maddens haven't been on par with the last-gen Maddens even Madden 09 although it was a step in the right direction IMO.

The horrible physics in this game is what makes it so bad, all the improvements will be overlooked until the physics in this game in on par with apf 2k8. If this issue is fixed in '11 than anything else is just icing on the cake. The turn on a dimes ect of this game just ruin it for me. Great job on '10 though I will say that, lots of things I like in it but the most important part of football is being left out again =/

Yes I did. I felt like 05 was the best. For the most part the flaws were less obvious. The players seemed to react better, and the game ran (and looked) smoother and more fluid. Player reactions and reaction times seemed to be much more realistic if not more believable from a logic or physics standpoint.

If people make fun of the guy(s) for trying to better the product (which I think he is ultimately trying to achieve), then they need to be fired. Obviously too ignorant to see that a better Madden product reflects better on EA as a whole. If people are against the betterment of a product , by any means, you have no business working for the company.

Ive said before , Ian and Dev's have my respect for showing up here. I just stop short of thanking him for doing his job. Those of you bent on thanking people for a job well done, by all means spend most of your time at this website , not a Madden board.

My point was that most people at EA probably think that the Madden team isn't accomplishing anything when they are trying to please people who will NEVER be pleased NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO. Now I see what you meant. You're saying even if the Madden team did an excellent job this year, you still wouldn't thank them, and apparently the only people you thank are the troops. I think that we can both agree that Madden 2005 was the best Madden thus far, but what made that the best Madden to you? Just curious.

Matt. I said many times, even in this thread. If the game comes out without glaring flaws, Ian himself can send the crow.

The "thanks" they get come in the form of the $60 spend on the game I will buy (second hand).

The troops are just one example of people that you should thank for doing a job. Teachers or emergency services should all come before lead video game designer. Your missing my point if you dont see that.

Some of Ian's post , to me , almost look like a cry for praise or a pat on the back. Just like Im sure my videos look like a crybaby whine fest.

Its fine that we disagree, understandable. Its just that he often disagrees with me and others by taking cheap shots. Gererally speaking, when you have to insult people to make your point its because your stance is weak.

Though i have a great deal of respect for you. I think your post is just trying to save face for EA. Even though guys here are killing you, i've actually feel for you. I can tell you are a true gamer and if you could you would make the perfect game. It's just EA is not gonna give us nothing but crumbs every year. You probably can't admit that, but we all know it's true. Just remember regular people are paying there hard earn money for this game. If you have any respect for yourself please make sure we get the best product possible.

Well they get the part of the $60 from the original sale of the game, even when I buy it second hand. So technically, me having the game means EA got paid, maybe not my money...but they got paid off my copy is the point.

really wanna but it. gonna wait til i hear on os if the progression in franchise mode is fixed or not cuz thats what i love is building a franchise with decent player progression from year to year

My "last chance" was Madden 09 as far as purchasing. And I havent been happy with it since playing 2k5. I'll be renting first from now on. When I use the term last chance, I mean for a direct purchase, like the good old days. After renting it, its always a option, but its record doesnt show it likely. As far as the "huge upgrades" this year, isnt that what is said every year by devs and people here? Its like we enjoy being Rick rolled. Hopefully this year they prove me wrong. Id actually love to eat my own words in this case, and have a great game to play!
