Well, I certainly hope not.

Whether you want to see it or not, Madden is marketed as a simulation, not a arcade. So it's fair to compare the game to NFL Football.

If my OL rather do a super 180 and run up the field ignoring all of the opposing players in his path or my defender ricocheting off a gang tackle, there are going to be problems.

If you were aware, I don't compare Madden to 2K5, I compare it to NFL Football. I don't have a problem with missed assignments, it's the way they do it that bothers me.

Yeah, it bothers me the way my NFL team misses assignments, especially if it's a leads to a game changing TD.

Trust me, I know that Madden is supposed to be a "Football Simulation". But, the fact of the matter is that there's never going to be a "perfect game".

Every video game that has been made so far has glitches. Some are much worse than others. It's been that way sense the beginning of time and will always be that way.

With that being said, if a players morphs in Madden 10 am I going to bitch, moan, make video's about truf chasing, etc.??? No...... And I'm not going to come on here and say that EA claims "this or that" is supposed to be "in the game" and it isn't. I'm just not.

I'm going to accept it for what it is..... A VIDEO GAME.....

Did you really just reference the BBB in regards to EAs slogan? Ha! The BBB would laugh your comments out of their offices and tell you to find something better to do with your time if you came to them to claim that EA was guilty of false advertising because they had missed blocking logic and legacy issues.

How is it that every person who comes here looking to pick a fight about Madden cannot accept the fact when someone points out that APF and 2k5 suffered from many many problems? 2k5 isn't the pinnacle of sports gaming, period.

I never said that the BBB would care about the EA slogan. The fact that you try to make it seem as though I did is laughable. The BBB reference was a joke, but the fact remains that an advertisement does have boundaries of what it can claim. I am not specifically talking about Madden, but to make it seem like you can say anything that you want in a campaign and hide behind the fact that it is just an ad is not at all true. Again, I am not talking about Madden specifically.

And no where in there did I bring up 2K so I guess that the only person looking to pick a fight is you. And by you stating that 2K5 is NOT the pinnacle of sports gaming, does not make that statement any more true than if I said that 2K5 IS the pinnacle of sports gaming. So your emphasis by trying to seem like a tough guy and using period is not in the least bit effective and only serves to make you look more silly.

On one end, the NFL game is controlled by humans mentally and physically, the other is a video game controlled by humans and a A.I.

madden just dont follow even the basics and fundamentals that are taught to football players when they enter high school. you tell me a lineman or any offensive player that turn his back to the defense when they dont have the ball in any level of football(high school, college, pro). BUT SOMEHOW its in the matrix and ONLY in the matrix cause 2k5/2k8, and gameday(these the only two other football series i played) doesnt behave like that

the matrix is just the matrix but its not a NFL simulation

this was a nice vid that shows run blocking IRL(normal and slow) even tho is applied to Backbreaker but i dare anyone to just find a madden 10 demo vid(highlight clip, short clip, whatever)that follow that exact same behavior cause i said many times what this vid shows i seen that behavior in ALL PRO 2k8 and thats why i say its the best simulation NFL game to date and i can provide accurate proof

I have yet to see a post from you that does not include the word "matrix" in it or any other of Apex's catch phrases. I truly don't understand why Apex is almost always against EA. The Madden team knows most of the problems that he points out, but it seems as if Apex is purposely trying to lead a rebellion against Madden 10 because of little issues that he over exaggerates to his viewers who in turn view this forum with an Apex mentality instead of their own mentality. Most of his points are valid, but he crowned Madden 2004 as the greatest Madden ever, yet it had many of the same problems that he announce as game killers in Madden 10. I understand a few of the problems with Pro-Tak, but he made nearly 20 videos pointing out his issues with the demo, yet the game seemed to have way more good than bad things. At the end of the day we all want Madden NFL to be the best representation of the NFL, but it is still a video game with a limit on how close it can come to reality and will remain a work in progress every year until it reaches its goal. Some would argue that the the 2k games were better at representing the NFL than Madden, but I liked last-gen Maddens better. Madden has its way of doing things as well as 2k. It's turducken!

Lets draw a distinction between food and video games. Its been very clear since "One white shoe, One black shoe...its in the game". That slogan speaks about replicating things, even this years M10 commercials are geared toward putting players "in the game". Certainly "If you see it on Sunday" is just as bold of a statement.

Im not saying you don't have a point, but that's an awful way to try to prove yourself. I don't think its anybodys place to judge how serious EA takes its motto, from what I have seen from Ian and friends, they take it to heart in creating the game.

EA sets a standard for themselves, if they cant live up to that they only have themselves to blame. I said a long time ago, nobody would have faulted them for admitting putting out a bad product from 06-09. Then asking for the community to bear with them as they improved the game and use the community interaction as a true sign of a willingness to make progress. Instead, they just keep digging a bigger hole with saying they will give fans something that isnt possible.

LMAO at the back and forth between the 2K "fanboys" and EA "sheep". Neither have any constructive critism and continue to either continually reference the past or tend to let EA off the hook. The best posts I have seen so far have been gamers that are neutral and only want the best possible football game and acknowlegde while it does have flaws(which they insightfully point out in a mature manner) it can still be enjoyable too. Lol. Some of you are probably grown men and your getting corrected on maturity by a teenager. Oh, the irony of the situation

On a side note 09 and 08 were horrible. On the other hand, I'm liking what they did with 10 this year and I will be renting it to see whether it warrants a buy and if it can hold my attention span for more than a week at a time.

The "Everything You See on Sunday, See it in Madden NFL"
slogan does not only apply to Madden NFL 10, but as a goal for future Maddens.
