No joke, something tells me I'm going to need the entire clock this year, to carefully consider my playcalls. LOL

3 hours? I'm all for it! But, that's just the type of sim gamer I am!

    And I don't have a girlfriend.

How are you counting your # of plays? Does this include special teams plays are just rushes+passes+sacks?

I know how it is done in real life but I was wondering how are you coming up with your totals.

I plan to play 15 minutes also.

I don't think even acc clock can fix that.
saw it LAST Night!!!! I made an audible that made them counter and low and behold they didn't get it off.... I was like OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!

The people in these threads that complain about a game taking too long doing this need to analyze things better. The 15 minute quarters is merely cosmetic. Whether you try to acheive realistic stats via 15 minute quarters with acc clock or with 8 minute quarters without it, you are still getting the same number of plays. What this means is, real time is no affected at all since you are still running 120 plays.

Playing with 15 minute quarters + accel clock merely does two things 1.) you get the satisfaction of seeing a full regulation quarter on your box score and 2.) you have less time at the L.O.S. which is more true to real life.

                  QUESTION:

How are the scores at the end of each game? I figure you would be seeing way too many 45-42 scores. What has your experience been like in that regard?

Yeah that's thing ...sometimes the correct number of plays being run does not equal realistic stats or score from a sim perspective.

120 play games may result in 54-51 games (not saying it will, just giving an example).

I am getting good stats, but getting receivers over 5 catches and Defensive players more then 6 tackles is real hard ... That's my only complaint, and it's nothing that I think the game can do about it ... also the CPU QB never really gets sacked, But I'm not too strung up about that ..

That is an issue now because of the QB quick snap. It was an issue with 09 before they patched it. They may do so again. If the Comp is not QB quick snapping, if you let the cutscene after the play, play out, it happens real time. The play clock moves. If you wait until the QB picks it's play and initiates the count down for you to pick yours, time gets wasted. Not a whole lot, but by doing those things will take 15secs off the clock or more.

After the play is picked, watch the cutscene to get to the line. More seconds run off. If the QB quick snap is fixed, he will wait at the line another 5-7secs.

Now I know that some people hate to watch cutscenes and hit the button to skip forward, but the devs put effort into them, I appreciate it and watch them. Makes me feel more like I'm watching a game because the graphics and animations during the cutscenes are much better than the in game ones.

I am not saying that this is perfect, but let's be honest here. If you know how to play Madden, you can hold down the amount of possessions that the comp gets anyway.

This is the reason I think :20 or :25 accel clock may be a better option. To account for the CPU's quick-snapping.

Queue haters who play 5 min quarters. **This thread wasn't for you anyway**
I would love to try that, but without in-game saves, it would be nearly impossible for me to finish a game.
